Actually, they fought on Ukrainian side in neo-Nazi batallions. CNN made a fake about Donbass militia, but Italian media corrected them. Recently one of neo-Nazis was sentenced in Italy (he has Italian passport) for 24 years because of killing Italian journalist in Donbass.
