Didn't know they had halal carts outside of NY. I thought it was a New York thing. Nowadays I go to a Korean restaurant that has a lunch special for $10. I've since developed a taste for Korean food lol Are you in one of the UCs?
Dude..you kidding me mate?
My university had FOUR (yup, read it right )...FOUR..halal carts on the main campus. And then we had halal food places in downtown as well. Sometimes, I'd just skip getting halal food because of the long line..(I honestly liked 2/4 halal food carts. 1 had hugeeeee lines. 2 one was so far from my classes. Others, I didn't care about much)
California Bay area is heaven for halal food. Didn't you read Wallstreet Journal's article how OKC Thunder got hitched on halal food due to the Turkish Muslim player Eric Kanter? lol
Its a pretty good read! Read it http://www.wsj.com/articles/the-oklahoma-city-thunders-halal-guys-1461869415
According to available statistics, there are now more than 8000 halal food resturants in United States...and these are only the "registered one's" that have their data in online apps, website etc.
Sooooo many halal food resturants wouldn't bother to put their data online in apps etc..So actual number goes well beyond 10,000 or something.
You should try halal Pakistani place bro. You'll love it. Again, NOT "indian" food. Pakistani food. Its similar but its different!
And yes, I went to a UC school...oh the good (and bad) days!
