IT job market crashes: Infosys, Cognizant and others reportedly fire thousands

And you know why exactly I mentioned about "false flagger" and to whom ?? Just like you said, even the nicest people have limits, especially when they are called names. But still I refrained from doing the same because my upbringing doesn't allow me to do so.

Moreover I guess you know the meaning of the word "PLEASE". Now I reiterate, please don't bother me again, if you don't have anything on topic to discuss. :)

Your upbringing clause & call was loud & clear when it invoked a false flagger label on an authentic seeming & sounding Indian name; aka Ashok.

Don't piss on my legs and claim it was raining.
Be unique and not a dime dozen types.

Again, one last time, did I ever called you a false flagger ?? Can you point any one of my reply to you in which I have called you a false flagger, I guess it was meant for some other member here ??

Then why are you getting so offended if you are not a False Flagger, can you please explain ?? :)

Buddy dont waste your words and time on this false flagger and post pelter ........ he will never disclose his country of citizenship but its great to abuse the country you show in your avatar ;)
I was born in Liverpool, currently working and staying in Bangalore.

But again it proves that you are neither an Indian and doesn't have the manners to indulge in civil discussion. Please care to show your true nationality if you have an IOTA of sincerity. And please don't bother me again, if you don't have anything on topic to discuss. :)

Technologies getting change like Cloud Computing, Robotics, Automation and Artificial Inteligence.... Indian companies taking time to adjust to this changing climate.
Also it is true in this industry the more you grow older more you become highly paid worthless. Also we should remember IT is one of the highest paid industry so naturally it would be the first to face headwinds....

Yep. I'm already put him on my Ignore list. Not worth my time discussing with someone like him. :)

.
The fact that you typed "your won country" instead of "Our Country" itself reveals your false national identity. LOL :p:

I've nothing more to say, please spare me if you don't have anything productive on topic. :)

That posters is frustrated due to downfall of AAP...so u can understand his frustration..

MUMBAI: Even as the centre has managed to contain its fiscal deficit, state governments still remain profligate. A report by ratings firm India Ratings and Research (Ind-Ra) estimates that aggregate fiscal deficit of Indian states will increase marginally to 3.3% of gross domestic product (GDP) in FY’18 from its forecast of 3.2% for FY;17. It expects states’ debt/GDP ratio may increase marginally to 24.3% in FY’18 from 24% forecasted for FY’17.

The central government is evaluating the report of the N. K. Singh panel on Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management, which allows the fiscal deficit of the central government to be increased by 0.5% of GDP. Ind-Ra believes that once the report is accepted, states would also make suitable changes in the fiscal deficit targets specified under their Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management Acts.

Net market borrowings of states is expected to increase to Rs 3.7lakh crore in FY’18 from its forecast of Rs 3.5lakh crore for FY’17. However, as a percentage of GDP, states’ net market borrowings is likely to moderate to 2.2% in FY’18 from its forecast of 2.3% for FY’17.

Ind-Ra expects goods and services tax to be implemented from July 2017.Ind-Ra believes the proposed compensation of INR500 billion by the central government to state governments to cover revenue losses post tax implementation will be sufficient.

Ind-Ra expects demand for petroleum products in FY18 to increase 9.5% yoy and the prices of Indian crude basket to increase to INR4,015/bbl from INR3,122/bbl in FY17 (April-January). Ind-Ra expects states with a higher proportion of revenue from petroleum products in own tax revenue to benefit from the increase in crude oil prices.

On the expenditure side, Ind-Ra expects the aggregate capital expenditure/GDP ratio of states to remain stable at 3.4% in FY’18, same as in FY’16 and FY’17 (FY’15: 2.5%). Despite a salary revision, Ind-Ra expects select committed expenditure (in the form of salary, pension and interest payments)/current expenditure ratio to remain stable in FY’18.

Every fifth techie may lose his job, and a new job won't come easy

Why job prospects in IT outsourcing will only get worse in the coming years before they get better

I got one word for you, the "Robots"!! It not just the IT, its all industries that will be impacted and humans will be replaced by the Robots. This has already started to happen very fast inside the US. IT, Doctors, Pharmacists, Finance, Clerical employees, Truck Drivers, Cab Drivers, etc, etc, etc, will be replaced by the Robots. 80% of all jobs will become automated. Various estimates say that by 2035, 2 billion jobs will be lost to the Robots worldwide! Welcome to the next generation of the industrial revolution and a "virtual workforce" aka, the Robots! There will be no work and Universal Salaries for all.

Correct!

.

Brace yourself for a lot more than 2-3 years. Majority of the IT industry is being automated right now. The Robots can write better code, build better systems 27 hours, 7 days a week without a holiday or a sick day, they can monitor systems better, deploy systems better and maintain systems better. So the IT downturn has started, next industry to get "Robotic" is Finance and Healthcare. If its "repeatable" work, its replaceable by a Robot!

Artificial Intelligence is the key here.
We are a decade away.

LOL......right. When you hit the ditch and there will be millions and millions of your fellow countrymen without work in the next few years, remember this "LOL" from your post. You should take serious issues seriously or post better.

Not sure who is a decade away. Its here and its in progress. The only thing is the wide spread use is just starting to take place. By 2020, the most job openings will be for people who configure Robots. A few years after that, all jobs will start to disappear. AI is already here and in all capacities to change humans. It is just getting deployed rather quickly now.

All the knowledge in the world makes poor substitute for common sense

Why do Americans live in perpetual paranoia ?
