The Indian information technology (IT) industry added a record number of employees in the April-June quarter (first quarter, or Q1) of the ongoing financial year, with around 85,000 new hires. This is the highest-ever net employee addition by the industry in a single quarter in six years, according to a recent report by equity research firm CLSA.

I was only asking if these thousands of computer engineering graduates can design a single microprocessor or just one operating system. Surely that's not an impossible task.

Like I said, they dont need to. Being a designer is not everyone's dream or even responsibility.

Layman’s terms yes and no. They can design build the system but will the MNC’s give them enough space. There are limited number people getting to companies which does provide that. I can design and build systems. But do i want to? That’s the next question. regular work is already hectic.
