What's new

It flopped in India, but Jackie Chan’s Kung Fu Yoga has already made Rs 1200 cr

It doesn't matter much from the revenue perspective but Jackie chan has a good following in India and It was expected to do good in India.

To answer your second question. Most of the Indians go to movies and a good lot of people go there quite frequently. Average movie ticket cost 4-5 $

even if you have big pockets doesn't mean you don't need new markets

the more the merrier
Then why is China the second largest movie revenue country after US and not India? Hollywood studio all rushed to collaborate with Chinese firm , making movies suitable for Chinese market while not much interest of Hollywood abt Bollywood?

People goes where the money goes, I guess that answers your point.

That fact is most Indian could not afford the high price ticket of big budget movie like Hollywood. The spending power of Indian is inferior compare to most average Chinese. So what if all Indian goes watch movie? It still can't beat Chinese in terms of revenue generated.

where are you taking this conversation to?
Did I say that our industry's revenue is greater than yours?

In India bollywood and Hollywood ticket price doesn't vary
they are more or less same

Nobody care about how many people goes. Revenue is only the point. That is the point of making movie in the first place. That is how Hollywood judge and same as Chinese market view.

and nobody needs to care about it either, Indian movies are made for Indian people and ticket prices are set according to Indian peoples affordability

and you don't need to make this thread into India vs China thing because it isn't
