It Costs Less to Live in Bangalore & Mumbai Than Karachi

what ?

Karachi don't have metro train,it's a city which was comparable to Mumbai in 1947.Even our Tier 2 cities like Lucknow are getting Metro trains.Delhi metro more than a Decade old.


actually road infrastructure of karachi is way ahead of your mumbai and other tier 1 2 3 cities lols people here are more self sufficient and owns more number of cars and motor bikes than a average mumbai wala do .. many public transport projects are in pipe line :D coming soon is 1200 km motorway project being developed connecting lahore and karachi .. btw do you guys have some motorway in mumbai ? except that tiny pune mumbai expressway lol

these two guys will from uk he is a famous blogger and archur from france came pakistan first time i took them around the whole lahore , will have been to india 4 times it was his first trip to pakistan and his views about india were india is one of the least developed countries i have been to so far :P these guys are traveling up in north of pakistan now days will come back with his proper blog as they went crazy after landing in lahore and having bike ride all over lahore ;)

will was really fed up of beggars in india who are really lethal according to him and was very comfortable while roaming in pakistan as he didnt see much beggars like one on indian streets :rolleyes: and when i showed these guys the suburbs of lahore for which lahore is getting famous among people its housing schemes like bahria town and DHA these guys were really impressed by the diversity of life style lahore offers :D i will share his experiences of pakistan with u guys soon here on PDF after pakistan they are going for india :lol:

Tier-II/III cities needs to be developed and new cities must be formed by merger of nearby towns as the hubs for newer urban agglomerations. Like the twin city of Hubli-Dharwad in North Karnataka (20 kms distance between the 2 cities), We can form many agrarian or small business centres into cities and hence propelling more chances of interior regions to develop. This is especially true for states like Kerala where the urbanization is almost continuous from north to the south. The flow of rural populations to big metros like Bombay, Madras and Bangalore can be controlled by this.

But, for some reason Metro cities are keeping the rest of the state at ransom for paying for the development of the particular city. As an example, Madras is solely taking funds and benefits from Tamilnadu state. Even political and government (Both centre and state) establishments are all still concentrated there. This is, as if like the old British Presidency years. Coimbatore, is a industrial city in the north-western part of Tamilnadu which is left out stagnating for decades because of such attitudes. A state capital must be somewhere in the central region and not in a already established city. This prevents lobbies who controls particular city as the major benefactor of state's funds and developmental agendas. The above example can be suited for Bombay, Calcutta and Bangalore - Rest of the respective states are suffering.

You are right. To be speaking Coimbatore- Tirupur-Hosur regions contains more industries than Chennai combined.. But the infrastructure even around the main junctions sucks.. Its still two lane roads.. I have been to Coimbatore only once, and shocked at the apathy shown to the Industrial city...

I do not like Madras alone getting developed into a big city. Every state needs 3-5 big cities to concentrate industries around it, to stop the population surging in Chennai...
Same is the status for WB. Other than Kolkata, (whose industrial base is in ruin-thanks to left) there is nothing left there except the Left.

I asked about Karachi metro not some Karachi Roads dude because I was under the impression that Karachi has a functional Metro train,since it is a financial capital of Pak.

And really buddy you are telling me you have more cars and bikes in the form of Mehrans and Dabang 100 CC :lol:

Nobody rides them here,those Mehrans AKA Maruti 800 ceased to enter the market few years back.High end Bajaj bikes and a simple Enfield is 100 K much more in Pak Rupee.

I asked about Karachi metro not some Karachi Roads dude because I was under the impression that Karachi has a functional Metro train,since it is a financial capital of Pak.

And really buddy you are telling me you have more cars and bikes in the form of Mehrans and Dabang 100 CC :lol:

Nobody rides them here,those Mehrans AKA Maruti 800 ceased to enter the market few years back.High end Bajaj bikes and a simple Enfield is 100 K much more in Pak Rupee.

What if i tell you people here are purchasing imported hybrid cars like a hot cake and government is earning billions of rupees out of it in form of duties and taxes lol and about metro trains dude in matter of time we can make these metro's havent u seen 3 mass transit system we made in last 3 , 4 years in lahore , multan , isalamavad rawalpindi and now metro train in lahore work is also in progress lol and rapid bus system in karachi is also under development ... Tell me about your road infrastructure do u guys have netwok of motor ways like one u see in europe connecting your major urban areas ??? Lol even a small city here like sheikhpura have motorway access since 1998:lol:

How many people in 20 million population in Karachi own imported super cars ?

Its not a metro, a ordinary bus service got a dedicated road.
and now metro train in lahore work is also in progress lol and rapid bus system in karachi is also under development
So Karachi, which is bigger than Mumbai is getting a Bus service in future ?

No, Every Indian own helicopter & fly for travelling to one city to another.
Our all Roads, Railways & Airport Infrastructure are just for showpiece.

Congratulations, now resident of Sheikpura can drive on their Dabang 70cc with out any shock.

Btw, I agree that cost of living in Mumbai would be definitely less than Karachi as apart from housing all other thing you can get cheaper & better quality.

What is Shaikhpura a village,never heard of it.

In Gurgaon we have more Malls than entire Pak and a functioning Metro train and we still call it Gaon.

There is a therad about Indian Highways on the forum,also go and figure out Budget allocation both by Center and state Govt on Road infrastructure.

As for Cars,AUDI alone sold 12,000 ~ cars in 2015 so .......


And buddy please don't quote me these Bus transit system and call them Metro,we have DTC and BEST for more than 50 years.

Also DTC is free from conventional fuel and run on CNG with thousands of Buses in its fleet.

Thanks.......How good are the beaches.....Tourism is the key for such differences......More the people visit from outside the living cost is also likely to go high......
Karachi is now considered a super city, while in the past people preferred to live inland but trends have changed and recently there's been phenomenal water front developments taking place both for living and recreation, the French Beach is popular with say 25-40 club.

What is Shaikhpura a village,never heard of it.

In Gurgaon we have more Malls than entire Pak and a functioning Metro train and we still call it Gaon.

and this is the second largest mall of pakistan under construction in lahore :partay: and about audi being sold there dude our automobile industry is way different then yours we here have monopoly of three brands industry trends are changing although on roads of pakistan every second car is toyota corolla or honda civic which costs 2.5 million rupee here in pak after all taxes and duties

Looking good....... 40 clubs???? then i am sure this is going to be the most happening city in Pak, and that justifies the living cost....
