You are supposed to mark your attendance there. After that, you were taken to the testing room, in which you are briefed every bit about flying aptitude test. The FAT involves series of tests as follows: • HAND AND EYE COORDINATION Test -> there is a white dot at the base of system screen, and a series of red dots is coming from up to down, and you are supposed to interface the both. You're asked to wear headsets before starting the test. The purpose of headsets is to make you listen to the points you've gained. This test is taken three times. • HAND EYE AND FOOT COORDINATION test -> in this test there is a sign of plus (➕) at the center of screen and a red ball moves on the whole screen here and there, and you are supposed put the dot in the center of the plus sign. Youve to control the up down movement with the joystick and right left movement with the rudder hence, building a coordination between your eyes, hand and feet. The joystick is operated in an opposite way. The up movement of the joystick triggers the downward motion of the ball. And vice versa. The joystick and the foot paddles (rudders) help you to do so. This test is also taken three times. • METER READINGS -> 6 different metes, including ° altimeter ° Artificial Horizon (controlling dive and climb motion of the aircraft) ° speedometer ° compass Etc are given on the screen. The sir briefing there will explain each and every meter in detail. Listen to him carefully as he explains only once. There are two parts of this test. Part 1 has the mcqs on the situation of the aircraft according to the meter readings. This test has 15 questions and 10 minutes. While part 2 has the mcqs based on the picture of the aircraft as to how the aircraft should look under certain reading of the meter. This part has 60 questions and 18 minutes sharp. This test is called picture identification test. • PICTURE IDENTIFICATION test -> in this test, You are given 2 meters (Dive and climb & compass) by which you are supposed to identify the position of air jet. 5 options are given and you can choose only one. • DIGITS RECALLING test -> this is a simple but quite challenging test In this you memory is observed You are given a series of digits. Eg 6⃣8⃣4⃣2⃣7⃣6⃣4⃣ It is visible on screen only for 5 secs and you are required to memorize it. And then you are given empty boxes as: ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜ And you are supposed to write the numbers with exact sequence . •VIGILANCE test -> in this test you are given 9 rows and 9 columns. In this stars such as : ✳ blinks are you are required to write number of row and then number of column in empty boxes. In this test there is a trick. An arrow sign such as : ↗ appears and your priority is this sign. Because this test involves negative marking . Remember this test has negative marking so you need to be very careful while putting the values of rows and columns. Always type the number of row first and then the number of Column. When the arrow appears you've to first delete that arrow as the longer it stays there the more marks it will cut which you've already gained. To delete the arrow, you've to immediately press the yellow button first which is present on the keyboard. And then enter the number of row and the number of Column very careful. It will then be deleted and then you can start deleting the stars again. You don't have to worry as before every test there is a practice session so you will experience and grasp the idea of the test beforehand and when you are ready you can start.
