ISRO to launch seven satellites on Feb 25

best of luck India.. That's huge progress in this field while our stupid politicians are busy doing corruption in every field.. thumbs up!

Thankyou for your kind words , much appreciated !!
However when it comes to corruption any south asian politicion isnt different . They have become that way because unfortunately we have learnt to ignore their injustice and corruption and opted to remain silent :coffee:

Space mission counting by India's method: Double Counting
ISRO scores on 100th mission, PSLV rocket launch successful

Yankees space enthusiast opinion on the India's method
The space agency has undertaken 99 missions, including 62 satellites and 37 launch vehicles, since the launch of the Aryabhatta in 1975.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

They've miscounted.
4 SLV + 4 ASLV + 21 PSLV + 7 GSLV = 36 launches.

This is the 22nd PSLV, and the 37th launch overall, so assuming they do have 62 satellites (I don't have time to check), this is actually the 99th "mission", not the 100th.

That said, counting both launches and missions together does look as if they are trying to manufacture a milestone where none exists.

The difference is only in the payload capacity of the launch vehicle, whereas the technical requirements of all launches requires the same capability that individual satellites be launched in there required orbits at there required angles (they may be 1kg or they maybe 1000kg, weight don't matter). There is absolutely no difference (technically speaking) in what ISRO achieved or what China or Russians achieved, they just used a more heavier launch vehicle, which ISRO is in process of.

But nothing taking away from the Russians & the Chinese, they are ahead in the space race, & they will remain ahead in the near future. And no one is saying that ISRO is the best space research organisation. PEACE.

@J-20 so desperate to troll that you are quoting a Forum Comment??? :disagree:

Even if that was 99th mission of ISRO, than also, after that mission, ISRO has made 2 more missions, 1 rocket launch & 1 Satellite launch, so even by ur logic, ISRO has crossed the 100th mission mark, HAPPY???

@J-20 Why are you selective about C-9 launch of PSLV? Check up C-7 Launch
Cartosat2 680kgs
SRE 500kgs
Tubsat 56kgs

But ofcourse for you it won't count. You must be kinda my wife trying to find only faults. I still love you though ;-)

. . . .

That was one of the launches. Sure there are lots of tall claims, but you should be able to read separate wheat from chaff.
Regarding tall claims in/from India, the reason is the following.
1) The organisation/leader has to sell their/his/her acheivements to get noticed. The competetion is huge. Hence it tends to be blown up.
2) The media/journalist has to sell their/her/his ability to get the best fastest most indepth report. So every acheivement & projection tends to get exaggerated.
However there is still something substantial to be noted with those news.

I'll however understand it if you get irked when non essentials are projected as great progress.

@Speeder 2 We do have worse situation than Africa with huge number of people lacking basic facilities, but instead of Mocking those who are even more bad in shape, we try to help them from what we learned from our own cases and since the economic and social condition is same, as you said, it helps in improving life of not only Indians but also Africans.

You are the 2nd largest economy in the world but it was India who built roads, hospitals, schools etc in Afghanistan whereas you just bought mines which we also did. This is called helping out a friend along with business.

We are poor but we also help our other friends in poverty. Its called Humanity.

Pakistan is your all weather friend and we see how much you are helping them in tough times. US gives more AID to Pakistan than you.

How many schools, hospitals etc. has China built in Pakistan ? How many patients China has treated with considerably low cost and did free medical consultation camps ? Except Gwadar and KKH, which was your selfish need.

Is this is friendship ?

Friend in Need, is a Friend Indeed.

The single largest pool of world aid funds in the modern history has gone to India, not sub Sahara Africa. Is that mock?

With that amount of free cash every year since 1947, India should have already been as rich and as developed as Eastern Europeans to say the least – any decent country would have done so – yet in reality, India is as equal as, and far worse than (in terms of malnutrition, hunger, rapes), Sub Sahara Africa.. Is that mock?

Instead of spending these funds on the hungry masses, India sends these funds to Russian weapon vendors in exchange for outdated tech to boost India’s fragile ego of supapowa, with the significant part of the rest of the funds ending up in Banque du Luxembourg and UBS under individual names of Singh, Kumar, patel, etc, etc, while its people dying of hunger in masses as we speak. Is that mock?

The sun rises from the East everyday. Is that mock?

No, guru, these are NOT mock. These are ground realities.

The real mock is chest thumping hungry and angry Indians on PDF whom dream of the unattainable and pride themselves of lies and scams from cheat-factories such as DRDO and ISRO (DRTROLL and ISTROLL).

They should be reminded and mocked, constantly, and rightly so.

It’s not about the IQ. Sub-Sahara Africans have even slightly lower IQ than Indians. No one makes fun of them now because I have yet to see any Nigerian or Congolese comes across chest thumping world’s “supa pawa” in 20xx blah blah and “ world’s top scientific achievements” ( better say import achievements) of Africa’s DRDO and ISRO equivalents as you Indians pathetically do.

Strictly speaking, it is a question not only about IQ, but also about character and basic level morals.
