I think PN had a great chance or even Indonesia and Malaysia to join in the U-212 project with Germany in order to produce submarines.

But I still think Indonesia, Malaysia can do JV with Germany and this will help them not to have Frigates or Destroyers in the fleet rather than U212 class submarines in good numbers taking care of everything in STEALTH mode.

Pakistan had a deal for three such sub not so long ago. It fell through due to finance.

The submarine are impressive and put Israel on a higher footing, naval wise than the majority of its neighbours.

I was going across the pages and saw a few Pakistani members talk about the legitimacy of Israel etc...this is not the thread to express your weird views, its a discussion about submarines... I'm wondering where have the mods disappeared.
Anyways back to the topic , Pakistan was also planning to buy to U-214 subs, any one can comment on the difference between the Israeli subs and the U boats which we were getting, but then the deal got cancelled i guess.

Point 2: No one is superior human. They were just smarter in that they took risks, allowed for innovative/ bold subcommanders to lead and didnt need to kiss as much a$$ of some one on top to get promoted.

In 56,67 wars the Arabs might have had more equipments, nothing for sure apart from the 400 Egyptian warplanes that were destroyed in 67 on their open airfields, but Usrael always had better equipment, the West has always looked to that and assisted Usrael with money, latest weapons and more than often times with physical presence.

Actually everyone knows that they are mostly atheists, and it is the moral and material support they get from all the western world that keeps them alive. Take these submarines for example; while any other nation on earth would have to pay 600 million $ for each, Usrael is getting them for less than 200 million $, if we count the ones for free and the half priced ones, and even this billion $ (for 6 most sophisticated submarines) or so is going to be paid by foreign military aid.

Anyhow these new subs are going to be armed with missiles as well as torpedoes, nuclear missiles are a myth in my humble opinion. their weakness is that they have to be contained in the Mediterranean see in order to protect Usrael, if they venture out the won't have the range to hit anyone of their enemies. and the Mediterranean is not an open sea like the Atlantic, the Pacific or the South Asian sea. being contained in that Area which is roaming with all kinds of merchant and navy ships and submarines of other nations, makes their role a very limited one to the defense of the shores of Usrael.

If you think Israel doesn't have such capability of long range strike weapon on its boats you be mistaken. They will find a way.

These submarine having the capability to launch SLCM,while as per source's the Israely SLCM warhead capacity is upto 200kn of tnt equivalent or 10times more deadly than the bomb dropped on hiroshima.

And each submarine is suppose to behaving upto 4-8 200KN warhead equipt SLCM's

Pakistan bought them in 99 n 2000s... Construction done in Pakistan under tot.. Might reduce a little cost aswell... And son lie my child .. Even US paid for the spares for iron dome ...just recently..
