the Jewish culture, the Indian culture--are among the most time tested than anything that is there on this planet.
they are going through hard times right now, but don't worry, the will of the Jews is the most powerful of all, they will not just rise, they will flourish.

Israel is the hard truth to many arab countries... they are strong enough to take care of their enemy.... unfortunately equation getting change.... Israel should become more strong by joining hand with other powers.... arabs are lazy fellows... where Israelis are hard working and intellectuals ...

Hope India and Israel relations will become more strong.... Israel never back stabbed it friends..... we can trust and believe them any time ...

JERUSALEM: Describing it as the "greatest show of co-existence", Israel's Nobel laureate President Shimon Peres today said India can teach many countries of the world how to deal with delicate problems without compromising on freedom.

"India represents the new world in a unique sense. Traditionally democracies were trying to bring equality to all walks of life, today there is a change.

"Democracy wants to enable every country to have the equal right to be different; it's a collection of differences, not an attempt to force or impose equality on every country", Peres said.

Speaking during a ceremony at his official residence where India's new envoy Jaideep Sarkar presented his credentials, the Presdient said, "I think India is the greatest show of how so many differences in language, in sects can coexist facing great suffering and keeping full freedom...

"Many of the countries in the Middle East should learn from you how to escape poverty. You didn't escape poverty by getting American dollars or Russian Roubles but by introducing your own internal reforms and by understanding that the new call of modernity is science".

The Israeli President credited the unique role of Mahatma Gandhi and Pandit Jawahlal Nehru in shaping the unique future of India, and especially in tackling the menace of poverty.

"In between the spiritual wealth of Gandhi and the earthly wisdom of Nehru, you combined a great performance of spirit and practice to escape poverty...I know you still have a long way to go but you do it without compromising freedom", he noted.

"The temptation when you're such a large country to introduce discipline and imposition is great but you tried to do it, to make progress not with force and discipline but in an open way", Peres emphasised.

Expressing his deep appreciation for Indian culture, Israel's first citizen reminisced how many people in Israel fell in love with Indian literature. :thank_you2:

"Many of us were educated on the literature of India when we fell in love we read Rabindranath Tagore and when we matured we tried to understand Gandhi", he said.

Shimon Peres must be an idiot. India has more poor than all of sub-saharan Africa.

look at the larger picture, as the saying goes: for every action there is equal and opposite reaction. this is true even in case of human life.

The radicalism poses only a temporary threat to Israel, while the Arabs and Islamic countries are the major victims of it, the threat to Islam is not from non Muslims, but, form the radical and brainwashed Muslims themselves, one or the other day, they will break free form their shackles of oppression.

I know most will disagree with me here, but, it matters the least.

It's okay to have good relations with Israel.

But piece of advise: Small countries do not matter to a large extent in the long term. For the most part :)

Can't help but feel guilty about the lack of concrete support our government has given to Israel.

I hope and pray that these people achieve a peaceful existence without constant threat of violence and that us Indians can somehow help them achieve peace and prosperity .

Love and Respect for Israel,

From India

Shimon Peres must be an idiot. India has more poor than all of sub-saharan Africa.

and yet,has technologically advanced more than entire Africa and Arabia.

if for any other country, it would have crumbled and broken into pieces if it had so many poor, if it was facing so many hardships, so many threats, so many challenges. And yet there is India, standing on it's feet looking at the future with confidence.

To this day, there is only one other country that has faced challenges as like India, and that is China. And now, we both look to the bright future, this is why i believe the Indo-China friendship will overshadow Pak -china friendship.
