Israeli False Pretences for Renewal of Gaza Offensive | Global Research

The Ministry of Health Gaza abhors the ongoing massacres of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip by Israeli military forces, in which 65 people have been killed and 220 injured since the collapse of the ceasefire agreement on Tuesday – a collapse that lies squarely at the feet of the Israeli regime.

Former Israeli Attorney General Michael Ben Yair today admitted that the Israelis staged the alleged Hamas breach on Tuesday in order to assassinate Al Qassam leader Mohammed Deif.

This deceitful outrage continues to be used as an excuse to carry out massive attacks on Gazan civilians – according to Israeli news agency ynet a few tons of explosives were used to destroy the building in which Mohammed Abu Shamala, Raed al-Attar and Mohammed Barhoum were killed in Rafah, killing at least five and injuring at least 50 additional civilians and completely destroying dozens of homes, leaving a crater the size of a residential block in their place – and the Gaza health services to pick up the pieces.

Ben Yair claimed in a Facebook post that the rocket fire was a false-flag in order to justify assassinating Muhammad Deif.

“There’s no deal,” Ben Yair wrote on Wednesday. “There are renewed acts of hostility. Who’s guilty? The big question — Hamas, which wants a better deal, or Israel, which staged a [truce] violation in order to assassinate Muhammad Deif.”

Former Israeli AG: Our government staged the assassination of Al-Daif

In the biggest blow to Israeli propaganda, which claimed that Hamas broke the ceasefire, former Israeli Attorney General Michael Ben Yair has said that "it was Israel who staged the alleged Hamas breach of the ceasefire in order to create the conditions for assassinating Muhammad Al-Daif, Commander-in-Chief of Hamas's military wing, Al-Qassam Brigades.

The website of Makor Rishon newspaper said that Ben Yair, who also worked as a judge in the Israeli supreme court, tweeted on his twitter account the following: "There is no agreement and hostilities have been renewed, but who is the culprit? Hamas who wants an agreement with accomplishments or Israel who staged the breach of the ceasefire in order to justify the assassination of Muhammad Al-Daif?"

The significance of this testimony lies in the fact that Ben Yair, by virtue of his former position, had knowledge of the fine details of the secret Zionist intelligence work. He conducted investigations into the various aspects of the activities carried out by Israel's Security Agency, the Shabak, which is responsible for intelligence about resistance leaders named for liquidation.

Ben Yair's testimony is also significant because it comes in the wake of the adoption by Europe and the United States of America of the Israeli narrative as a result of which they held Hamas responsible for breaching the ceasefire.

It is worth mentioning that the Israeli government's judicial advisor is also in charge of prosecution in the country.

Ben Yair is considered to be a serious person who is highly respectable within Israel, thanks to his revolutionary decisions during the time when he was in office. It is worth noting that Ha'aretz military commentator Amir Oren alluded in an article he published last Wednesday that there were indications that Israel had an interest in the collapse of the ceasefire so as to justify liquidating Al-Daif after receiving intelligence about his whereabouts.

I have heard conflicting reports regarding his death.

His family died for sure...wife and son or daughter...but did he die as well or no?

His wife, daughter and son were killed. I personally believe he was also martyred but Hamas doesn't want to reveal it yet. I might also be wrong and Hamas may prove me wrong soon. Whether he was or not, each time they lose commanders the next ones come to be better. The biggest strength we have is the will of the people.

israel must take off the gloves and declare that every house from which a rocket is launched will be destroyed within minutes without any additional warning. the IDF accepts tactical disadvanteges in it's fight against hamas/IS death cultists. thats unacceptable! if gazan people want peace and prosperity like they had until hamas takeover in 2006 they must get rid of hamas and force them to place their rockets in open fields instead in UN SCHOOLS!!! and hospitals!
