Israeli F-16 pilot demoted after falsely claiming to down aircraft during exercise in U.S.

2016 article :D
Is there a statue of limitations for BS claims from Indian Air Force ?

How is a single pilot getting punished by his superiors for a wrong deed related to the Indians exactly?

The Israeli Air Force is still a member of the Red Flag exercise what are you talking about?
I dont think OP is crticial of Israeli AF but as a matter of fact is indirectly admiring the professionalism at display here - a single pilot individually made a false claim and was punished, where as the Indian Airforce even as a whole organization propagated false claims about Red Flag and in recent conflicts with PAF.

I'm neutral about India but I certainly hope so.

Speaking of Indradhanush, after some beating to New Delhi by UK MoD, IAF was put to sleep. Since then, Indradhanush has ben reduced to CAGE ops with RAF refusing to entertain IAF's vital front line assets.

Air Force backs down on Indo-UK exercise 'claims'; says no wins and losses
The statement comes a day after the UK officially raised the matter with a senior diplomat bringing it to the notice of his counterpart in Delhi.

NEW DELHI: The Air Force has backed down on claims over an absolute 'win' during a recent Indo-UK exercise with an official statement arguing that there are no 'wins and losses' during such war games. A detailed statement has come from the Air Force on exercise 'Indradhanush' that was held in the UK in July, days after reports surfaced quoting IAF officials that the Indian side had a whitewash victory.

The statement comes a day after the UK officially raised the matter with a senior diplomat bringing it to the notice of his counterpart in Delhi, as was first reported by ET. A nuanced release on the exercise says ‘there are no classic wins and losses as no weapons are fired as per their actual capability’.

The Royal Air Force (RAF) has been peeved by Indian reports that IAF Su 30 MKIs had a 12-0 victory over their Typhoons during the exercise. The reports partly quoted the delegation leader of the IAF for the exercise but the victory claims were attributed to unnamed officials.

Official of the RAF have commented strongly on the reports, saying that they were not based on facts and the actual result of the exercise. However, after the official protest by the UK in New Delhi, the IAF statement seeks to correct the image around the exercise, toning down the rhetoric.

"Such exercises are conducted under controlled conditions with mutually agreed weapons performance parameters, with the basic aim of learning from each other’s best practices. Additional advantages that accrue are greater understanding of each other’s general operational philosophy and exposure to a different operating environment," the release says.

As I said earlier, IAF- be it of the East or West, are alike. They make same claims about victories and then backdown after getting muled by RAF. What a coincidence.

Does not matter if its from 2016 or 1916, I think it was never posted on PDF.

Indian hurt is understandable, false claims are part of their armed forces training.

. . .
It has absolutely nothing to do with India though

Integrity, honesty, and discipline are said to be the cornerstones of all armed forces out there. At least, they all try to live upto it. If you read my opening remarks, I have connected this incident and its rectification with Indian Air force for a reason.

IDF pilot caught red-handed blatantly lying? Sure. Action was taken. The face was saved. However, it would be naive to think that no damage has been done to IDF community in the military circles.

Indian Air Force has not only awarded Wg Cmdr with a false kill officially, they have also awarded his GCI, squadron leader Minti with some sort of medal too, who lost 3 assets on her watch.

Hence, this speaks volumes about how differently both of these forces hold virtues like integrity and discipline in esteem.

Yeah but I mean, why make that relation in the first place

Completely separate cases

But Indians are doing frog jumps, so just connected the dots...of False Claims and India...
Didn't quite get you

Israel just does a very good job of covering up its lies. Like the recent F-35 incident when they had a heavily damaged F-35 that they claimed was due to "technical" issues, suspiciously around the time of their first deployment against Syria.

@airomerix are you on deputation from Wind Jammer? You're sounding increasingly like him.

What about Hassan’s Tamgha-i-Jurat? Where is the proof of any kind?

Here you go. This is the proof.

Apart from the detonated missile which itself is hard evidence, look at their faces. What do they tell you? A look of despair, embarrassment, and fear. You dont have to be a rocket scientist to read between the lines.
