What's new

Israeli air strike on Syria

Good news.

He was a true monster and represented the Shia equivalent of the worst Sunni extremism.

He was devoid of any humanity or human feelings. A psychopathic killer.

A product of Iran's terrorism industry.

He was druze actually

That being said given the sheer precision of the strike I am pretty sure the so called Syrian "rebels" provided precise location of Kuntar to the Israelis.

.
The IDF should respond to any rocket or bullet shoot toward Israel,if they won't the enemy will take it as a weakness from our side.
Military power is the only factor that matters in the ME these days

Yes i understand but this time IDF has fired a big shot, like the last time when idf took out the Iranian Gen. I wish IDF should stay put.

And Dude I'm so Amazed about the source on the ground. what a accuracy !!

So all Russian super duper systems are not protecting even the capital? What they are doing there then?

- Israel bombs Assad:
- Thats because SAM systems were old!

- Assad gets Pantsyr.
- Israel bombs Assad.
- Ummm, thats because Assad had not Buk!

- Assad gets Buk M2.
- Israel bombs Assad.
- Ummm, thats because Assad had not S-300!

- Assad gets S-400.
- Israel bombs Assad.
- Thats because... Thats because... They did not want to shoot down the Israelis. :jester:

:rofl::rofl::rofl: Nailed Him:lol:

IDF Sergeant Rotem, she caught and prevented suicide bomber in April 2014. one month later at the same checkpoint, she caught a terrorist armed with a knife and prevented a disaster again.:smitten:

Mannnnn it looks like She's the Bomb...

. .
So you mean Pakistan can also work around those Indian SAMs in case of war with India?? India also getting S-400.

Ofcourse... Every weapon has a weakness, PAF or IAF knows very well about the weaknesses and it would try its best to hit where it hurts. Russians and IAF knows it very well that's why S-400 is been covered by Pantsir. can it be countered ??? yes it might, and its upto the talent of PAF and its fighters

.
Meanwhile IAF an artillery returned fire and hit some targets around Tyre.

Although the Israeli defense establishment has refused to address reports about the assassination of arch-terrorist Samir Kuntar and 10 other Hezbollah operatives overnight Sunday, it is evident that only with accurate information in real time could the hit have been done.

Security officials have explained in the past that intelligence forces' ability to locate a meeting of several senior terrorists in one place is the result of praiseworthy and consistent intelligence work, including quality teamwork.

In the past, when Major General Aviv Kochavi served as the Military Intelligence Director he taught his subordinates the need for close and methodical surveillance, emphasizing the importance of human efforts along with technological equipment.

Even today, when Maj. Gen. Kochavi serves as IDF Northern Command Head, he has maintained close ties with intelligence men and especially his replacement, Maj. Gen. Herzi Halevi, regarding the close surveillance of terrorist chiefs in the Syrian Golan area.

In the last few years these terror chiefs have been organizing cells active in both gathering information and recruiting fighters against Israel and against so-called Syrian rebels.

Nearly a year ago, a number of senior Hezbollah operatives in the Syrian Golan were eliminated in an IAF strike, including Jihad Mughniyeh and an Iranian field commander under the overall command of Samir Kuntar.

I've already replied here:

"Let Them Fly There Now": Putin Threatens To Shoot Down Turkish Jets In Syria, Calls Erdogan An *** | Page 4

Kids who know nothing about the air defence are drawing such pics:

However they miss one important fact. The earth is not flat. Its round. And SAMs cant hit targets below the horizon. The range of horizon is determined by this formula:

S=3.6*sqrt(h)

S - range in km, h - jets altitude in meters.

If jet is flying at 50 m then S-400 will see it only from 25 km. Thats the major reason why air force always prevails since 1980-es.

turkish brothers put their hands in the bee nest now bee is activated and watching all around its nest to bite them finding gape with in its range of 400 km.

Israel is an intelligence power and they can almost match the U.S/U.K in intelligence capabilities/gathering(especially in the middle east). This incident once again proved this. Kudos.

I'd say Israeli intelligence is even more efficient than US one comparing the resources aviable for booth.

They get to keep Assad as puppet (for now atleast) which without Russian involvement wouldn't have necessarily been the case....they cannot complain.

It is also possible Russia would "force" some mediation between Israel and Iran, through Russian Jews and influence on Iran which it is getting with selling weapons to it.
if russians didn't stop israel, than hezbollah might retreat their fighters from syria which will force russians to send their fighters in the battleground..

This is the best way to deal with terrorist. You just need good intelligence and strike them when they least expect it. At least his terrorist sympathizers will say he was a good jihadist and that he died as a martyr.
A good terrorist is a dead terrorist. :enjoy:

Why? That's counterproductive as much of the value Assad is for Iran is for the fact they can supply Hamas and Hezbollah through Syria. If they pull out they put their own plans and position in danger.

If Shia's from Iran would have gotten their way and KSA and GCC in general wouldn't have been meddling in Iraq/Syria with supporting any group as long as it's Sunni, Iran would have created a land bridge between themselves and Hezbollah/Hamas through Shia controlled Iraq, Shia sympatethic and allied Syria to Lebanon and down to Israel border. So, Iran's stake in this is not "negligable", far from "we can pull out and np".

.
last time they attack an Israeli vehicle with an anti tank missile near the border
well for that they sent a commando unit inside Israel and fired those missiles, the attack as I believe happened inside Israel territory.
