Actually, it was mainly China who backed mujahideen in Afghanistan against Soviets. Deng was pro America and supplied arms through Pakistan. Where else do you think mujahideen got all those Soviet type arms?

Nope. China gave weapons to mujahideen for free. China and America were allies in the 1980s and they took down USSR together.

America ditched Taiwan and sold weapons to China.

For first year of war, it was Pakistan alone fighting the proxy war with its own resources, as on one including Americans were giving it a chance to succeed . Few weeks ago it was yankees+ tommy's, now Israel is bombing and killing those who are fighting ISIS in the ground. Seems, war mongers of the west plans to keep Syria in perpetual civil war till it's partitioned or utterly destroyed. Russia and it's proxies are completely silent as well !
Question is who benefits from this mass destruction.
