What's new

Israel won't be happy with what India has done

Thats nonsense We always knew the rules of the game:

1) Palestinians get Indian vote in UN.
2) Israel gets military contracts.

We are happy with it and would never agree to trade. All UN resolutions don't wort the paper they are written on.

Besides...even if India votes for or against Israel in the UN, it makes not an iota of a difference, especially since India is not a Veto power...Israel knows that the US has its back and thats all it needs in the UN. Of course the UNHRC vote has no vetos attached to it, but even if shit hit the fan (hypthetically), India's vote would be irrelevant in the final decision...

Allies like India can keep that delicate balance between Israel and the Arab world (which India needs to maintain for its own interests), while at the same time provide Multi-billion dollar arms trade which mind you is worth a lot more than this vote!
I see it as a win-win situation for both..

.
Many Indians here now change their tones from support Israel religiously few weeks ago to talk about International standards, how hypocrisy. :omghaha:
We still support Israel self defence. .. We support them taking down terrorists. ... but we are not against palestinians. .. you can't mix both..

.
i ,for one,am glad that we didnt abstain,,,,,,,right or wrong,,we shud take a stand.

.
Purely a Business decision. Modiji decided he could not piss off 1.5 Billion Muslims to appease 6 million Jews. Only the US voted NO and vetoed the resolution. Most Europeans abstained to avoid angering Israel.

Do you even understand how the veto works?

This is not UNSC, there is no veto in UNHRC. The resolution was adopted.

France has become a first country in the World
to ban Pro-Palestine demos.

A legal procedure has been instigated by the Paris police prefecture to ban the march, despite it already being widely advertised.

The punishment for illegal protest are :
----------------------------------
1] Anyone who turns up to an illegal demonstration will face up to a year in prison, and a 15,000 euro fine.

2] If they hide their faces to avoid being identified, this sentence can be increased to three years, and a 45,000 fine.

3] Even those who publish details of an illegal rally on social media face up to a year in prison, and a 15,000 euro fine.

4] This can be increased to seven years and a 100,000 fine if the postings lead to violence.
-----------------------------------
Only in India, security of state is kept at stake for the sake of Secularism.
In 2012, we have seen how group of ill minded people have created riot like situations in Mumbai's Azad Maidan & in Lucknow.

The property they damage comes from tax payers money.

No one has rights to detroy public property.

State governments should also take strong steps to avoid such situation.
Don't worry, there is a bigger vote bank of good people who deserve a peaceful and developed nation and they will vote for those who prefer development over secularism

UNHRC Resolution Won't Hurt Ties With India, Says Israel

NEW DELHI, July 25 (Bernama) -- Israel said India's support to the United Nations Human Rights Council's resolution to launch an independent enquiry into its offensive in Gaza will not affect ties between both countries.

"We are disappointed over the resolution in the UN Human Rights Council but ties between Israel and India are strong and will continue to be strong," a spokesperson at the Israeli embassy here told Press Trust of India (PTI).

On Wednesday, India and members of BRICS voted in support of the UNHRC resolution to launch a probe into Israel's military offensive in Gaza that has claimed killed over 770 Palestinians and 34 Israelis.

India joined Brazil, Russia, China and South Africa in voting for a Palestinian-drafted resolution on "Ensuring respect for international laws in the Occupied Palestinian Territories including East Jerusalem".

Twenty-nine countries in the 47-member council voted in support of the resolution while 17 others abstained.

The US was the only country to vote against the resolution.

Israel has described UNHCR as a "kangaroo court" and slammed the resolution as "a travesty".

.
This is the deep rooted problem in India's foreign policy, lack of decisive stand. When we gonna learn to face the situation and get involved as a power in world politics. This kind of hollow stands we take on some important issues are the reason nobody takes us seriously.

.
As stated earlier,PDF Indians are not representing true India.:woot:
I myself was do damn astonished when some ziodian [indian zionist] posters were totally reciprocating usual Indian policy in case of Palestine.
Indian government may be stubborn in case of Pakistan but they can't forget Mr.Gandhi's sacrifice and teachings against barbarism in case of Israel. This is the true India of which I was talking about.
Regards

u know what mate, gandhi was the biggest cocksucker in the Indian history, INDIA STANDS WITH ISRAEL

Even in Bangladesh you need permission to held rallies. Too many muslims in Paris and can drive the whole city to anarchy considering the emotion running high. Its not anti muslim band or anything.
