Israel Surpassing US in military technology

People look at it the wrong way.
Everything Israel develops is shared with friends, and who are amongst Israel`s few true friends? America, Canada, India, those are the ones that benefit most from Israeli expertise.
America funds Israeli projects because they know it`s money well spent.

I wouldn't say our friendship is a "true" friendship. We cooperate with one another based on your country being considered the only "democracy" in the Middle East and we benefit from your relationship. If there were no worthwhile benefits in being your ally, we wouldn't be supporting you.

That's our government's view. The view of our country's citizens is much different.

american superiority is waning but i have huge doubts about whether israel can surpass it ever. america is much bigger and always will have a much greater R & D spending. even in the future.

USA isn`t short on varieties in views, geopolitical or otherwise.

Israel may have few niche technologies better than US, but overall they are a tiny country with only few millions of population, which doesn't have enough human resources to surpass US in every major fields.

The majority of people who would support Israel are far left liberals or Jewish. They are a minority and I haven't actually come across many even in a liberal state like California. Regardless, the majority of Americans are what I would consider as apathetic to Israel.

Also, I may come across as anti-Israel but I'm not. Let's just say I support the rights of both the Israeli and Palestinian people and not discuss that further.

Fair enough, Israeli technology is nice.
To the point where you said liberals are pro Israel is laughable... Everybody knows Republicans are die hard Pro-Israeli and leftie liberals are Pro-Palestinian. A lot of regular Americans don`t even know there is a middle east, i was referring to those that followed politics.
But OK, let`s stay on point and agree on the fact that it is not generosity that drives the 3 Billion each year in US aid(1.6Billion obligated to spend on US products) but rather the weapons and expertise the money pays for.
