Israel – No Longer People Dwelling Alone

The great success of the European countries - which they have been working hard to preserve - was to take the millennia-old enmity towards European Christians and direct it towards Jews instead. So even when Arab political leaders are interested in furthering better relations with Jews, the Europeans will try to maintain and increase Jew-hatred among the Arabs.

Solomon,
How does this mechanism of "tak[ing] the millennia-old enmity towards European Christians and direct it towards Jews instead" work? Is it driven by European opinion leaders? political and religious and cultural? Is it absorbed by osmosis by the common European man? I find it hard to believe that such a transference of enmity would occur by someone's careful, directed plan, or by happenstance, either. Is this a "Jewish", anti-Christian conspiracy theory? I have never heard this particular explanation of Arab antisemitism.

The hatred toward jews is explained by arab states by "genocide" or "unjust" killing of Palestinians, without a base in reality. the real reason behind that hate comes from ideology, and will not cease to exist even after a peace between jews and palestinians will be formed.
By "ideology" I suppose you mean militant Islam. Israel, after all, is - like Spain - the "dhimmi that got away" - a people who escaped the thumb of Islamic rule and - even worse - prospered in peace and justice as a result. But this was not always the dominant view. The Ottoman Caliphs had abandoned sharia law generations before World War I. Property ownership was liberalized. Muslims accepted that some things in the Koran and hadiths could be meant only for their time and place, or with specific peoples, and not forevermore or applicable to every non-Muslim.

That these practices are not dominant today has much to do with the harnessing of sectarian hatred by political leaders for the purpose of maintaining and extending their personal power and wealth, at the expense of good government and the general welfare. Yet there is a limit to how far they can go with this; it is the Road to Syria.

It started around the mid-nineteenth century. Jews can point to the 1840 Damascus pogrom, which seem to have been encouraged by French diplomats.

...both in Euro Is it absorbed by osmosis by the common European man?
Anti-semitism was a feature of European politics for many centuries.

Wikipedia:

...On February 5, 1840, Father Thomas, a French citizen originally from Sardinia, and the superior of a Franciscan convent at Damascus, disappeared along with his servant. Upon Thomas' disappearance the French consul at Damascus, Ulysse de Ratti-Menton, who supported Christian merchants and advisers over Jewish ones, and Christian families seeking economic ascendancy over the formerly empowered Farhi family, instituted investigations in the Jewish quarter giving rise to the suspicion that Jews were behind the priest's disappearance. The Egyptian governor of Syria, Sherif Pasha, wishing to court French sympathies engendered by relations between the French government and the Egyptian pasha, Muhammad Ali, allowed the accusations to take root...Sherif Pasha and Ratti-Menton agreed to the trumped up charges...Ratti-Menton published libels against the Jews in French and in Arabic...One major repercussion of the 1840 Damascus Affair was the introduction in the Middle East of the French education system -

What about including Palestine formally in Israel?
They don't even want black Jews part of Israel and you think they will want Palestine.
You don't have to buy it, as I don't care about u.
See, I tag people I want to read it, and you're not one of them.
It's free forum, I agree, and u can say what ever you want, just don't think we care about your opinion
Of course you can post whatever you want but people can point out your blatant try at hasbara crap.

Why do we see antisemitism as a phenomenon historically? Even in medieval Europe and beyond.

GCC countries need us, partly because of their incompetence in subjects Israel had to deal alone in the past, and have a common interests in building relations with the jewish state, even if it's in the dark.

They need you now but this is shaky.Their religious ideology will prevail if Iran is taken out of the ecuation.Look at Turkey and its decades of cooperation with Israel which got shuttered once a pan islamist took power.

The most obvious reason for antisemitism within Christian cultures is that Jews rejected both the words of Jesus, a fellow Jew, and were complicit in his execution. Muslim antisemitism likely arises from a similar Jewish rejection of the message of Mohammad, as well as Jewish clannishness and competition with Mohammad in contemporary Arabia.

lol it looks like the hatred for Iran in Saudi is greater than their love for their Palestenians Arab brothers

TS, you may be interested that the conclusion that modern Arab Muslim antisemitism is an import from Europe is also voiced by a Muslim analyst: link

I read the link. However, it seems to me that the argument is somewhat selfdefeating. That is, Israel only exists because (1) intense European anti-semitism in the late 19th and early 20th centuries culminating in the Holocaust, followed by (2) establishment of the political State of Israel supported by Christian western powers, the USA and many European States. So, in that sense Europeans, and American Christians later, are responsible for creating the circumstances that have given rise to rabid anti-semitism among Arabs and Muslims. The obvious remedy is to "reverse" the State of Israel, or to convince Muslims that their anti-semitism is wrong.

if we knew the answer to that, peace agreement would be in place already

Don't bother.

You'll only be dishonouring the sacrifices of your soldiers.

It is not worth the trouble for an imaginary state that only exists on a paper.
