Israel launches strike at Damascus

F15's should be an easy target for S300 ...so where has been the system deployed. Basically zionists are leaking their frustration through such attacks.

Mate, don't call bombs as gifts. If someone bomb your country will say you received some gifts from the sky?

I don’t care. Israel and Syria should sort it out.

These strikes are not symbolic but well planned and executed. They target Iranian supplies to Syrian regime from time to time.

They target weapons being supplied to Hezbollah in Lebanon. It's nothing new, but at an increased rate than before. It's blown out of proportion in media, because Israel wants to appear as countering Iran and its allies efforts in the region to impress some Arab governments. In reality, however, they haven't changed outcome on ground in Syria, Iraq, Bahrain or Yemen.

Damascus is among the most well-guarded environments in the world.

That's a broad statement, what do you mean by it?

IDF completely dominated Lebanese airspace back in 2006. And they continue to utilize Lebanese airspace for taking pot shots at Syrian regime. Your assessment is wrong.

I'm not making an assessment, rather a mere observation. You misunderstood my post, no one is disputing Israel has free reign in Lebanese air space. It will not launch air strikes on Lebanese territory today because Hezbollah is capable of delivering retaliatory blows. In Syria they don't worry about that as the regime sees no need to respond.

.
Lebanon does not have capability to shoot down F15/F16 let alone F35. Although F15's are being used. Three sites have been hit so far which really isn't that significant.

Israeli defense missiles being fired at Syrian defense missiles that were gonna land in Israeli territory:

^^

Actually could be Israeli ballistic missiles used against Syria.

MLRS! most likely American M270 series

Yes, you are right, seems something like that. Thanks for correcting me.

As usual, every time Israel strikes in Syria, reports come out that the General 'Solemainie' of Iran was killed. He's been killed a lot already, so take it with a grain of salt, but he's been supposedly killed again today. :D

Those rumors tend to originate from an Arabic defense forum. Arab sources are terrible when it comes to these incidents in Syria. It's their idea of combating Iran's efforts in the region. Such lame crap regimes and their supporters.

some posters have been speculating about the location of S300 in this thread and why it didn't intercept the Israeli strikes on Damascus... Here is what I think might be a plausible explanation (I could be wrong):

11 December, 2018
In the past days, Russia began moving some parts of the S-300 sophisticated system to Deir Ezzor, a step that would make the flyover of coalition planes (in missions) against ISIS east of the Euphrates River more difficult,” the sources said.
https://aawsat.com/english/home/article/1499751/russia-deploy-its-s-300-system-near-us-missiles

Approximate Distance between Damasus and Deira ez-Zor = 454 km (use google)

data=GxuOlU01i62NdunXGtej5gqW4FjyKgyJNg9e05ViimBaweFwA0KhlaOgBctcTkBaBMPf5_cLvi0DZlSoS9ryv0NIPjnu0zL1dgVZUtrtZ9dVhqOeKwrM33Veej3qQ243U-ULwGrQXynsiOUSk7jBCt6m5UMmVimZqdWbD85PiFM54VX1eyaHHgq5HC7C5QJCpV9_ZWDwoHVDGanLA3tKZWph9j5hn5x9SPYEXTFr_qJRfcnTtp7gEGk,7NJWJugTxOWA0mBeDxYaw6QGYTlTBfBZ6HoI6Q4bq9zUMYYYBHequGpd1XydEHABKaudmKTbq8jVDAi1m69_XLC68g7JR2rnuOybCO980NK4Gc6AnHRvjoxo13s_1gYnk4uRkeAY_bnu9aQEfzMuqSCY59WB5dWziiedYGkdo5iuqeI2qSK8ApHT1XD64yIhoPUbXudEvn5bIleEkvLKwHjQ8tmGIyK-pq0dTHT5iEiSuZ12ZH0ktICS8xSKcbZdB2cJict4B5vAU6pPJlAsnzC4L2o8PKVzWoBpWJADel22fWaG6HEGKfgIt6nClY8peeXuZbI5btrIPch1q2iP3ylPJZbsCdIkXhxY

Hence, It would be safe to conclude that it was precisely S300's absence which might have emboldened the Israelis to attack Damascus... (could possibly be an attempt to draw the weapon away from Dera?...)

This may also suggest that Donald Trumps seemingly unexpected decision to recall troops from Syria might have something to do with this latest development as well... according to the video below (which IMO provides the most plausible explanation as to why US suddenly had a change of heart.), Turkey to the north (and threatening an imminent attack on the YPG/US), Syrian army amassing to the south and Russians/S-300 to the east of the US/YPG stronghold might be the real reason behind Trumps seemingly "impulsive" decision...

No S300? No SAA? No Iran to the rescue?

It seems fighting Israel is not as easy as using chemical weapons and barrel bombs on your own civilians.

What I'm told is it might of targeted an high ranking Palestinian political figure, possibly belonging to the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement. If this is true it means Netanyahu trying to restore his credibility as a tough leader after the ceasefire in Gaza.

If Israel did anything stupid they are certainly going to destabilize Gaza and the West Bank.

There is another rumor that it did indeed target Solemiani.

HEZBOLLAH LEADERS TARGETED, REPORTEDLY HIT IN ISRAELI AIRSTRIKE, U.S. OFFICIAL SAYS

Several leaders of Hezbollah have reportedly been hit by an Israeli airstrike on the Syrian capital of Damascus.

The information was given to Newsweek from a Department of Defense source with access to the information from Israeli senior military officers with direct knowledge of the attack. Israel's air strike was conducted minutes after the leaders boarded a plane bound for Iran.

It was a diplomatic delegation supposedly. You can imagine the outrage if Israeli delegations are bombed.

So they attacked the plane.

Bullshit you launch your missiles from 300 miles away over the Mediterranean.
Quit your pathetic excuses, you claimed we did just that even before Syria had the S-300,that's one of the reasons Syria bought it. And your claim is a lie, how come your SAMs entered Israeli airspace then?

Syrian regime army is one most incompetent in the region, its embarrassing to brag about bombing Syria. Especially in its civil war ridden state. Bombing Lebanon is different story, Israel has warned numerous times it could strike Lebanon soon and hasn't done so yet.

Btw, S300 is not being used, it's older missile defense systems.
Israel literally invaded Lebanon and is destroying Hezbollah tunnels from inside Lebanese borders.
This whole forum brags about "Israel is afraid of attacking Syria" and "After the S-300 Israel stopped attacking" but when we attack it's suddenly not an achievement?

Assadists say they were launched over Lebanon. They admit that weapon cache was hit and 3 soldiers wounded:

Assadist social media reports that Alawi lieutenant was killed:

Meanwhile glorious Assadist air defense pounds its own territory:
