I remember it was a huge security nightmare for US when it happened a few years ago. Pretty insane stuff, RQ-170 GPS spoof and capture by Iran has to be one of the most impressive hacks I've ever seen.

Now they are probably looking into the RQ-4 they shot down last year.

What are the odds that Turkey was behind this?

Tens of thousands of websites hit in a single cyberattack is pretty damning, defacing websites is something that Turkey has been known to do in the past. Maybe they used Iran as cover for plausible deniability. Iran typically tries to do SCADA attacks and hit actual systems and infrastructure rather than deface websites. I'm guessing this is the work of Turkey, but its still impressive nonetheless.

It's not tens of thousands it's a few hundred at best. Defacing random low quality websites is no achievement anyways.
