I'd much rather live in a non-democratic country that respects the right of families to live within their own means than in a democracy that kills, steals and dispossesses people because they're not Jewish.
This has nothing to do with religion. The same happens to Jews and non religious who build against the law. In Israel you can't just pick a piece of land at random and build there whatever you want. Especially so not in the middle of the capitol (odd that I need to explain this to grownup people). There is city planning, permits, safety etc. If you just go ahead and ignore everything how can you be surprised when this happens?
300 Jews were removed from their homes based on court ruling last year (Migron). How many of you are going to complain about the tragedy of the poor people loosing their homes? Or are you going to show your true colors..
There are many many more cases like the one in the OP happening all over Israel with Jews and non Jews. They rarely make the news though, since it's hardly a surprise for the law to be withheld, but I guess everything is good enough if it can be twisted to appear against Israel.
No, actually, your courts suck ***. They can't even hand over decent sentences to a bunch of thugs who try to lynch and murder innocent people - when the victims are non-Jewish.
I agree, our courts suck in that they are too lenient with criminals, especially minors. But this has nothing to do with the offenders being Jewish on this one occasion, it happens all the time. It's one of their greatest faults in my mind. Too much compassion for the criminal, too little for the victim. You speak while you know naught of the country you refer to.
But in any case, your praise of Israeli courts is undue here - the city proceeded with the demolition before the court even pronounced itself.
The answer is in the article, is it really so difficult to just read:
The Jerusalem municipality commented: "The objection came in February, and half a year passed since then. The objection doesn't delay carrying out [the demolition], and since it was filed nothing was filed to the court, and the petitioner didn't turn to the municipal prosecutor or the municipal supervisor on the matter, so the announcements regarding the evacuation were valid and the evacuation and cleanup conducted by the force was legal.
I know this happens to your Arab citizens. When a Jew does that, though, the settlement is retroactively legalized.
Wrong, I gave you one example, but there are more if you like.
My country is yet to destroy my legally built home and forced my family into caves.
I am glad to say that it is so for my country as well.
