ISPR

. . . .
Do you have a link to this instance?
Notification rejected thing was unneccessary

Well maybe Asif Ghafoor was more active on Twitter.

But shouldn't overshadow all he did to bridge the gap between the military and the civil world. And doing away with absolutely dumb anti army propoganda. How thorough detailed, and professional his press conferences were. How they positively contributed to the national discourse.

. .
let your team do the war on social media. the DG should give them the direction. i am sure they must have many hired expe
Our military fights on the battlefield rather than on the internet or news media.

You mean liking getting shot down, shooting your own planes, getting wacked and surrendering to the chinese, shooting unarmed Grandpas...

got it.

The only part i am confused is do you indians suck more on the battlefield or in cyber space?

This thread is not aimed at empty criticism with no aim.

But I am starting to wonder where is ISPR. It seems to have vanished off the national discourse since the new DG sahb took over.

ISPR had turned into a stellar oganization with a voice of reason which echoed with all the voices of the nation.

ISPR not only countered terrorism under DG Asim Bajwa's in Gen Raheel's Cabinet.

But also countered totally ridiculous, unfounded anti national propogandas and psychological mind games enemy imposed upon us. Such as missing persons, poison of Hamid Mir, India's threats and adventurism, Kashmir, PTM lar o bar BS etc etc. Under DG Asif Ghafoor in Gen Q J Bajwa's team.

Gen Asif Ghafoor did an absolutely amazing job of winning people's hearts and minds and bridging the great divide that was ever increasing and capitalized by the enemies foreign and domestic.

ISPR is a very, very important organization. Because Christine Fair(I think, if someone can help me find exact quote) said something along the lines that 'it is Pakistan's Army that is holding together Pakistan's social fabric'.

With the appointment of the new DG Babr Iftikhar. ISPR seems to be going through a dormant/latent phase. But he joined only in February so it has been around 5 months. So he could still be finishing some courses/on the job training idk.

But ISPR vanishing like this has left me at least wanting for it's return. I say this because Pakistan has 0, ZERO, NONE, NADA professional media platforms where the state of the country can be discussed without sensationalism, lies or downright paindoo attitude.

Au contraire, watching Gen Asif Ghafoor conduct his detailed, thorough press conferences made me feel like I am watching Al-Jazeera Inside Story. Which is a show I'll admit I like because it provides a balanced, well thought out analysis and has very professional analysts/academia well versed in natsec/economy/geo politics/foreign policy etc etc. Not just a bunch of guys sitting on a show defending the failures of their political parties with whatever lies or excuses they can think of.

ISPR is a wonderful tool in Pakistan's especially Pakistan Army's toolkit. We worked too hard to sharpen it. We shouldn't simply let it fade away.

I think you need to put into a context

ISPR doesnt need to do as much as before.

Under Nawaz , there was ZERO foreign policy and was simply an appeasement to india. ISPR had to work over time, as it was the only outlet talking about national policy.

Under Imran Khan both military and civilians are on the same page at least on strategic issues. Alot of credit has to go Imran and the manner he represented Pakistan narrative. Many non Pakistani I spoke never even understood Pakistan's narrative till Imran land mark UN speech.

it turned the tide, no body talks about Pakistan terrorism, do more , hub of terrorism etc non sense any more. People around the world began to understand Pakistan view and Kashmir is not just "terror" issue as india had mislead them. ISPR is very good but Imran's UN speech was as George Galloway stated

"blew India out of the water"

in short.... relax, ISPR is doing a fine job, and so are the civilians. Is there more to be done ...sure.. but this is one area Pakistan as whole has much improved upon. Economy and governance are areas i would be more worried about.

It was you flaunting the strength of India in Information warfare but when countered with the facts now You ae changing the goalpost.

Just for the record Indians got spanked on the battlefield too.
Not true.

India always had the potential but never utilized this to engage in "information warfare". We consider such practices beneath us, suitable only for those who cannot stand in a direct conflict.

Now, we have changed the strategy and realized that with no actual combat happening we need to counter all the propaganda originating from hard working members of Isi-Pak army to keep getting their pensions and defence budget raise.

So, we have just started with Psy ops mainly as a way to counter Pakistani propaganda and this is why ISPR is largely silent. They have realized that it is better to avoid going down this road any further, which is why Ghafoor was made to leave the Twitter handle.

On the battlefield, it is not India who celebrates defence day for only managing to defend itself in a war that India started.

As for the confrontation with China, it was a minor unarmed skirmish where over 100s of soldiers fought in a very inhospitable terrain and a lot of information is still not revealed to public - it is by no means a measure of performance on the battlefield.
