Not really.

The ISPR did well in the recent stand-off but it has major defecencies. Just because the Indians are so inept doesn't mean we have reason to gloat.

The first thing that needs to be done is abolish the DG ISPR position. A single person becomes an easy target. ISPR should be about getting our message across and not glorifying the person delivering the message.

Armies of Pakistan and India have different norms and ways of doing there work, also role of army in the overall country is quite different. This difference in role has helped our ispr while on other hand the communication arm of India is more restricted/slow or not used in full swing.

India has some of the great minds in India (some might point out names like republic TV and zee, but communication is more broader than just news they levereged their art /communication in many forms for putting their points /propaganda forward) and their ability to influence the masses is quite powerful as compared to us.

I think the reason for thier failure here is because of

So I think though we are at the top for now we must continue to push ahead to keep this advantage.

I don’t understand, Pak is so impressive in military and security. It punches well above its weight. It probably 2nd in the world after Israel, people should be very proud and impressed.

But what I don’t understand is why this cannot translate into the economy and build the country on a war footing - infrastructure, hospitals and ports could be brought up to international standard with this expertise.

Right now the system is collapsing and beyond repairs. Country will be rebuilt on war footing as soon as a new system is in place.

It’s regrettable even Pakistan’s are falling for this trick. During the entire February standoff, ISPR limited its role to establishment of certain facts that were already on public domain. A competent and up to date communications team would have exploited India’s brutal beating to influence the debate in India regarding the outcome by presenting irrefutable and embarrassing information.

Maybe ISPR needs to hire an international strategic communications consultants to help it polish its narrative.

Ongoing exaggeration of ISPR role seems to be a deliberate attempt to give steam to India’s current efforts to repress Pakistani voices on social media by beating the ISPR boogeyman.
