wishing success and good luck for his successor
I think one of the most known faces and very well composed and approachable for the local and foreign media.

Gen Athar Abbas has my respect

Maj Gen Athar Abbas also accompanied the COAS to Gayari yesterday.

very approachable indeed....he even spent time briefing ISPRs' interns.

cousin of mine was one of those proud interns

Yeah and when he starts talking he doesn't stop before two hours. Don't understand why your cousin is feeling so proud about it.

Yeah and when he starts talking he doesn't stop before two hours.

meaning he is not camera shy and not averse to taking the time to answer questions...

he's the former head of ISPR

 Don't understand why your cousin is feeling so proud about it.

because it was her wish to intern with ISPR and she got a lot out of it and felt it was productive.....i dont see what the problem really is or why she shouldnt be proud :what:

Major General Ather Abbas was efficient and tactful in dealing with media persons and also in calming down the hyped up situations. his services should have been extended or promoted to Lt Gen, Anyways wish you all the best General Shahab. and Lets hope Maj Gen Asim Bajwa would even be better than Gen Ather.

Really, so he is now M Gen for a healthy 7 years, isn't that too long, shouldn't he have been promoted or retired?
