USA people just fear for almost anything. In the past it was the Japanese, then Soviets, now Islam. You watch in 15 years, they would fear the Chinese.
When that day comes, i would give all the support to a Chinese person.

The people of US, needs to learn from its Veterns, ask them how was it like to fight in Vietnam or Japan or Korea? And they would say complex of emotions, that would make you just want World Peace.

Look at the 60s, where USA united in Peace, to fight againist injustice within their system, those are brave citizens that inspired the world once. Deep down the US people still have that power. They must use their status for the good of the World instead of tearing it up.

Can't be helped really. Just have a educated friend circle and it isn't a big deal. You do get the eventual red neck patriot to deal with though. The fear is fueled by the media the most because there is no such thing as balanced news reporting on these matters. Obviously the conservative talk shows don't help much too.

Judeo-Christain foundation has nothing to do with with the church being part of the state..that would be if the country is Judeo-Christain which it is not. They are different things as I mentioned before. Certain conservatives try to mix the two and they are wrong just like how certain liberals try to deny the Judeo-Christian foundation of the country and they are wrong too.

he declaration and the Constitution define the source and the limits of state power. But they do not tell us how a moral life within this society should be led.

Certainly, that would be the expected scenario....... if an overwhelming majority of population ascribes to a certain point of view, it is obvious that society would reflect that.

for example: Its like expecting Pakistan to be a secular state when justification for its creation was creation of a separate Islamic state.

The surge in islamophobia in USA is attributed to a number of factors primary ones being the media, lobbyists & politicians. Their regular & intense demonisation of Islam is leading to a more intolerant America. Most of the Americans have feeble or no knowledge of Islam but they blindly believe what they see on TV or listen on radio, over the last few years there has been a tremendous increase in negative portrayal of islam by TV & radio presenters.This relentless religious bigotry in America has not abated even during the administration of President Obama who aspired to bridge the widening gaps between the western & the Muslim world.

America is known as a land of freedom & constitutional rights, Muslim are very much part of the American culture, to deny them the right to profess their religion is directly a constitutional breach.

Who is doing that in the US? Am not talking about individuals but about institutions that can impose some kind of restrictions upon individuals. The police force is one such institution. A private company treads the fence because the company can only enforce any of its laws on its areas of jurisdictions, such as an office or the cafeteria. So who, as in one or more institutions in the US, is denying muslims the right to practice their religion?
