The objective of these loonies is to create an islamic religious state for which they want to kill civilians of other faiths, through direct action. Despicable. On topic - I hate all terrorism - be it islamic or any other type. These people are in a tiny minority and need to be exterminated from society. What i find incredible is how AIndians get marcha in their little bottoms when they see an opportunity to link islamic to terrorism - grow up and be more mature and stop generalizing - makes you look dumb - especially when you start hunting in packs.... At the end of the day, there is no doubt that there are extreme Muslims in North Nigeria (along with many average peace loving Muslims all over the country). The situation in Nigeria is a bit tricky, because the Muslim & Christian populations are almost equal in size (the Muslims being slightly bigger in number, & Nigeria being a Muslim country), & they're almost 'competing' with each other at times (in terms of jobs, resources & similar stuff). English is the national language of the country. Muslims in Nigeria generally speak Hausa or Yoruba, whereas the Christians speak Yoruba or Igbo. While there was perfect harmony inside Abuja, cities like Jos were always threatened by communal violence. At the end of the day, Nigeria is a country blessed with extreme natural wealth, but plagued by extreme corruption & inequality, & the poverty in Northern Nigeria (& elsewhere in the country) is one of the reasons why the Islamists got the support they got, almost as a reaction to the corruption & abysmal living conditions in Nigeria.
