Islamic Military Alliance: Give it a chance it might actually become Muslim World’s NATO

People useually forgot thet we are besically 100* version of isreal. We have enough nukes to take down those who will attack us. 150 are in our arsenal and as wel takh 500 more are under construction. We are besically going to have 1200 to 1500 nukes in future.

And one more thing, Hinduism will not die alone in the final war ;)

Now, carryon......

:) that's not how you teach youngsters (young individuals/people) respect for hidden arsenals of weapons..
what you wanna do (at maybe *all* levels of, and age-groups in, a country), is turn the desire among your own population and neighborhood(s); to discuss or make real, real fighting (to injury or death levels) into play-fighting and showing-off-to-the-girls..

in other words : to turn real fights into sports-competitions like Soccer, American Football, Basketball, and the 'extreme sports' : Snowboarding, Skateboarding, Surfing :)

That has worked in Europe to stop the inter-city wars (violent raids with lots of horrible deaths among those being robbed of their artwork, food, and of course gold and silver coins), which were a huge problem here in Europe in 1000AD to at least 1500AD..

We Dutch suffered from Scandinavians coming by to raid our towns and villages,
the Spanish tried for 80 (eight-zero!) straight years to rule my country the Netherlands, in that 1000AD to 1500AD time-period (it's now 2017AD),
which we know euphamistically call : the Dark Ages of Western-Europe (i define Eastern-Europe as Russia + allied countries).

It wont. This is one of the most loose and fragile alliance in history. If the US attacks they will crumble like a house of cards. Unless you have the neccesary infrastructure, individual country funding and power projection that NATO offers, you are nothing more then a paper tiger. In Turkey we have roads that are hundreds of kilometers long called "NATO yollari" which litteraly means "NATO roads" that are all funded by, you guessed it, NATO. If this Islamic union is to succeed, there must a country that pumps a shit ton of money into the organisation. In this scenario that would definitly have to be S.Arabia and/or GCC countries. And if it truelly wants to gain legitimacy in the eyes of international scene, they MUST include Shia majority counties such as Iran and Azerbaijan. These aformentioned things are simply highly unlikely to happen, thus i consider this military alliance nothing more then a symbolic one.

Islamic Military Alliance: Give it a chance it might actually become Muslim World’s NATO

Following a period of ambiguity over the approval of NOC from the Government of Pakistan, former Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif is finally in Saudi Arabia to command Islamic Military Alliance to Fight Terrorism (IMAFT). However, this approval has not only failed to convince Iran and Iraq have explicitly criticized it for being of a sectarian nature.

Objective of Islamic Military Alliance
Deputy Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammad Bin Salman said that the anti-terrorism coalition will operate in Iraq, Syria, and Libya. With its headquarters set up in Riyadh, the IMAFT definitely aims at securing Saudi Arabian sovereignty.

The objective of the alliance itself is apparently not controversial, given that terrorism is the biggest challenge facing the Islamic World today. Not only has the Muslim World been terribly affected by the gigantic terror waves rising from the chaotic Middle East but the West is also taking hits both directly and indirectly. There is no question in any ones mind that this needs to be effectively countered. There is no straight answer as to how to counter it. The combined civil wars going on in Syria, Iraq, and Yemen have led to a generational crisis in the Middle East; that has been incinerating city after city, causing unimaginable damage to life and property. Islamic Military Alliance aims at guiding the Muslim Countries to victory against the ogre specters of ISIS and Al-Qaeda.

ISIS is a mutually agreed threat not just to the Muslim World but to a large part of the globe. Even global heavyweights; USA and Russia have been justifying their intervention in Syria on the basis of countering ISIS. Furthermore, earlier statements by Deputy Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammad Bin Salman, has confirmed the anti-terrorism coalition will operate in Iraq, Syria, and Libya. With its headquarters set up in Riyadh, the IMAFT definitely aims at securing Saudi Arabian sovereignty and all this now with a Pakistani General at its helm.

Is Pakistan’s neutrality compromised?
Pakistan’s attitude which has so far been quite positive in striking balance between two of its allies Saudi Arabia and Iran. Pakistani parliament maintained neutrality after rebuffing Saudi Coalition call in Yemen in 2015.

Pakistan’s is one of the most powerful militaries of the Islamic World and the past decade it has shown success in thwarting terror. Pakistan’s extensive experience in Countering Terrorism is unparalleled in the entire Islamic World. Under the command of General Raheel Sharif, Pakistan launched Operation Zarb-e-Azb that secured its Tribal Areas of TTP militants and drastically reduced terrorism in the country. With so many successes against terrorism to his name, General Raheel Sharif was a good choice for those looking for someone to command their military alliance.

Perhaps the most significant question is, will the Islamic Military Alliance operations in Syria, Iraq, and Libya, only counter ISIS and Al-Qaeda or will they generate a greater intervention into Syrian conflict on Saudi behalf that the countries like Pakistan have hitherto been successfully avoiding? In addition, will it be used to ensure Saudi sovereignty at the cost of regional run-ins such as with Yemen? The answer to these questions lies in Pakistan’s attitude which has so far been quite positive in striking balance between two of its allies Saudi Arabia and Iran. Pakistani parliament maintained neutrality after rebuffing Saudi Coalition call in Yemen in 2015. General Raheel Sharif, in his one of the three conditions set to command IMAFT, has also included that Iran is invited to join the alliance.

Never going to happen.
Its an Gulf Arab led Alliance with the headquarters in the KSA,led by the KSA.
Every country gets a vote but if the KSA says jump, the whole GCC jumps, the KSA will rule this Alliance.
So how do you expect Iran to join this Alliance?
And yes,as long as there are no Shia countries involved(which will never happen),you cant call it an Islamic Alliance, they should call it a Sunni Military Alliance or Sunni NATO.

For any Alliance to properly function , then all Islamic countries will have to be invited
It can't be a groupie vs 1-2 other nations who have some differences

The problem at present is reluctance of folks to sit on table

If it was some Saudi General then I wouldn't expect it to last long, but Raheel Sharif is the most experienced person to lead and was one of Pakistan's best Army chiefs; he already got the Saudi royals to dismiss their current Army chief which means that they respect his position in the alliance.

The Saudis are the 4th largest spenders of defense in the world behind Russia, China, and the US, so they definitely have the money to support this kind of coalition. We'll see whether it was all worth it when they get involved in their first operation/engagement, and whether or not the alliance can actually end terrorism.

Pakistani leadership wanted Iran to get involved, but they weren't interested. Id rather they get the thing up and running, and then try and convince Iran again in the future, rather than shutting down the whole thing.

A body can only address broader issues once they have a mindset to accept all views on different matters

Short Term Goals:
However the present danger such as ISIS or perhaps KCK groups can be looked after by the organization

ideally the broader goals should be
a) Erradication of poverty , better education and improvement of human right laws
b) Issue of Kashmir/Palestine or Protecting Turkish Sovreignity
c) Finances / Development programs
d) Peace framework to help improve debate between GCC / Iran
e) More improved cooperation between African Muslim nations and Asian Muslim nations
f) Stabalization of Iraq with existing borders
g) Water security Egypt /Sudan

It looks easy but these are quite difficult challenges

Keeping expectations on low side

Unity is strength.

Like I said, I see the violence in the Middle East in the same way that I saw the Chinese Civil War. The war ends when the people unite under one banner, maybe the IMA will be that banner?

Indeed, it will be in the favour of all Muslim countries and in fact the world if Iran join the Millitary alliance, perhaps not today but hopefully one day they will.

If this alliance is going to destroy IsraHell , Believe me Iran will stand on the front of this alliance. But it's goal is making a war within Muslim world and gathering of a group to massacre Yemeni Muslims as much as it's possible. Look at this ::

They are working with Israel militarily !!! What an alliance it is!??? Israel-KSA + other Muslims to massacre other Muslims :tsk:

This alliance is a chance for Muslims to unite, to destroy terrorists who are part of proxy wars (no matter where they come from or who support them) not to massacre anyone.
It involves not only Saudi Arabia but other countries as well.
As for if Iran will be on front or not against Israel, only time can tell.

Assume Iran is an observer, we will join when whole Muslim world goes to war with Israel. You have my word

Will all the countries in IMAFT will be ready to go to a war if a member country is attacked? Divergent interest I would say.
Pakistan will be the first country to jump in if any Arabic states are attacked under this alliance. But will the Gulf countries with strong Indian population, trade most importantly enjoy superb relations attack India if Pakistan enters into a war with India?
And BD, though a member of the alliance will attack India from the east? Or Indonesia from the south (not sure if Indonesia is a member). A NATO like alliance might happen. But mostly look paper based and to ensure the survivibility of the regimes in the Middle East.

I dont blame them. That's how national interests are made.

I dont really think or know for sure if muslim Nato will help pakistan if a war breaks out with india but one thing i know for sure is Pakistan will always fight India on its own and doesnt need no muslim nato and china to take on India

Pakistan will fight India alone and we are ready for it.

.
If it is truly an "islamic" NATO then we should get something out of it too and need all the help we can get- Saudi should use their pull to modernize all country militaries to high standard Saudi should use it's influence for sales of some modern weapons or atleast gift Pak some Eurofighters...........:D
