Not everything is to be taken symbolically. Most of the Quran is literal. But some things are not clear. Those verses are are Mutashabihat ayat, for example the story of Khidr (as). And the clear verses are called Muhkamat ayat. Proper Methodology and scholarship kicks in the Mutashabihat verses. Allah made these verses unclear for a reason. Only the ones with knowledge and noor can properly penetrate and interpret these verses.

look the way i see it we need to switch over to old ways for survival reasons. learn farming, food with long shelf life get prepared for the worst. Americans themselves are buying up guns, ammunition, canned food, generators, solar, wind turbine, mini hydro, off the grid communication radios, moving to country side, using organic fertilizer, dr hulda zapper, colloidal silver, horses, military boots clothes, water filters, small engines, stoves, peltier modules, cheap military jeep, gold etc.

simple things like this will be luxury when the dollar collapses.

however we can make a survival pepper group team, plus we can learn horse riding use it sh it as fertilizer biogas. archery, swimming. we can sell survival prepper products to earn living and agriculture stuff.
