Margalla has a variety of mammals, they include the Indian leopard, gray goral, barking deer, wild boar, golden jackal, red fox and the porcupine among others.

It is also home to a large number of birds such as larks, paradise flycatcher, black partridge, shrikes pheasants, spotted doves, Egyptian vultures, falcons, hawks and eagles.[2]

Reptiles such as the Russell's viper, Indian cobra and saw-scaled viper are found here.[8]

Lockdown city videos show how well kept some cities are. The people create ruckus but when they are locked indoors, city looks lovely! Plus less pollution, cleaner air and streets. Loved this video.

Thanks for your detailed reply....

Sorry to go off topic but since margalla hills are surrounding Islamabad and are rich with wildlife do the incidents of wild animals attack on humans happen??

In Mumbai rarely leopards come out of jungles and they have attacked and killed humans....

There were many reports of wild boars attacking humans if chased and incited...but many are killed by humans too.

Leopards attacks are very rare in Islamabad...yes further north like around Abbottabad national park and adjoining areas....

With the Lockdown...Leopards seems to be coming downhills.

Islamabad is probably one of the most peaceful cities in south asia to live in . What is the average temperature of the city ?
Are there any plans to develop more commercial zones in the city other than the blue area ?

The average low is 2 °C (35.6 °F) in January, while the average high is 38.1 °C (100.6 °F) in June.[2]

The average annual temperature is 21.3 °C | 70.4 °F in Islamabad. Precipitation here is about 941 mm | 37.0 inch per year.
