Pakistan rejects Indian media reports on complicity in Dhaka attack

Islamabad has rejected allegations of involvement in Dhaka attack that killed 28 people, as “baseless, irresponsible and provocative”, according to media reports.

Pakistan's foreign office spokesman Nafees Zakaria issued a statement in response to reports by Indian media that alleged involvement of ISI in the terror attack.

"These are highly regrettable, irresponsible and provocative stories being carried in the Indian media. They are utterly baseless and unfounded. Pakistan strongly rejects such allegations," he said in the statement.

He reportedly drew attention to the statement by prime minister Sheikh Hasina’s adviser Gowher Rizvi, refuting a media report that was attributed to him regarding Pakistan's involvement in the attack.

"Professor Rizvi contacted Pakistan's high commissioner to Bangladesh to confirm that he has not issued any statement against Pakistan and that the Indian media reports are false. He also advised Pakistan's high commissioner to convey this clarification to the government of Pakistan, to avoid any misunderstanding between the two countries," the foreign office spokesman was quoted to have said.

The Pakistan official reportedly added that Pakistan has strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Dhaka and "expressed solidarity with the government and the brotherly people of Bangladesh and offered condolences and sympathised with the families of the victims".

You deny that HT Imam is a Bangladeshi official?

Please watch around 1.30 timestamp here:

He is BD PMO advisor, and the Rizvi chap (which Pakistanis are making a hoohaah about regarding his denial) mistakenly believed Indian media was quoting him (when in fact they were quoting mr Imam and the mixup ensued because both are political advisors to Haseena).

Now I will wait and see if you believe this interview with direct VIDEO proof is some fabrication/exagerration by Indian media.

Do not shoot the messenger....the message comes from your top govt official.

There is also another one (this time a minister) but I will leave you with this for now.
