Right now they are in Afghanistan.. India can work with Afghan forces to finish this problem before it reaches Pakistan.

India is in Afghanistan only to help the Afghans with what they need.
We are not in the global policing business.
Nor in the strategic depth business.
I'm sure the Afghans have proven over hundreds of years that they know a thing or two about fighting. Where India can help them is with peace.

That myth has been debunked. Pakistan has no ISIS problem. Afghanistan on the other hand is a place where ISIS has a presence. That too whilst the US and NATO forces are occupying this country.

If I remember correctly sometime back when US of A , accidentally bombed ISIS in Afghanistan , Indian were killed in that action .
Please dont take indians wrong they were there to tell ISIS, that their Aatay (Wheat Flour) shipment is on their way through Iran.
As for the writer, he should look in to how Pakistan has fought with this menace and defeated it big time, while spending from our limited resources. We have developed capacity to do the same.

Mulla Omar and all other Taliban leadership, osama bin laden and Al Qaeda leadership, ttp, whole lot of banned terror outfits like jaish Mohammed, lashkar taiba, hijbuls etc have/had close relationship with Pakistan army/establishment. Pakistanis are heavily influenced by these.
Yet Pakistanis in Lahore/Islamabad are confused how isis can have a stronghold in Pakistan.

Number of terrorist attacks year on year basis and numbers of militant caught / killed.
But how do you know what's TTP, and other home grown groups, and what's ISIS?
Also using Afghanistan as a baseline scale is really setting the bar too low. Or high, depending on how one looks at it.
Pakistan is a nuclear power and an urbanized developing country.
Surely there must be better scales!
