The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) loyalists aiming to gain a foothold in Afghanistan have vowed to eliminate the Durand Line in a bid to unite and pave the way for the Muslims divided by the line.

A spokesman for the terror group’s self-proclaimed Khurasan province said the Islamic State eye to destroy the borders similar as they did between Iraq and Syria.

The porous Durand Line has also been a source of tension between Afghanistan and Pakistan where numerous cross-border attacks have been carried out besides the bordering regions have long been and continues to be the main shelter of the terror groups.

In the meantime, affiliates of the terror group have doubled efforts to encourage the dissident high level Taliban commanders to join the ISIS group in a bid to further gain foothold in the country.

The spokesman for the terror group said a delegation of prominent scholars have been sent by the group’s Khurasan province chief to Uruzgan province to meet with the senior Taliban leader Mullah Mansoor Dadullah.

This comes as the group claimed yesterday that Mullah Dadullah was rescued from an offensive by the Taliban militants involving 2,100 fighters in southern Zabul province.

He said at least 230 ISIS fighters were deployed to Zabul from western Farah province to engage the Taliban militants and rescue Mullah Dadullah.

He also claimed that Mullah Abdul Manan, the brother of the Taliban founder Mullah Mohammad Omar, prefers to join the ISIS group rather than pledging allegiance to the newly appointed Taliban leader Mullah Akhtar Mansoor.

Its a tactic for support. Simple. Afghan Taliban didnt create problem with the Durand line issue but Isis are struggling to create a platform.on Afghanistan and what's the best way to create a power point and support amongst the public and the people to create a stronghold.

So Isis have picked their favourite issue amongst Afghanistan and Afghan pashtun. They will remove the Durand line and thus they are hoping this will streghthen their position in eastern and southern Afghanistan...

Try as they might. We are ready to kill any fool who believes that the Durand line will go away be it Isis , alqaueda, Taliban or any military force. We will eradicate them completely ...

The real issue is will the afghan people support Isis and create sufferings and pain just to satisfy the wet dream of pakhtunistan. The Afghan people must reject Isis at all costs otherwise Pakistan may face problem if Afghanistan becomes a hub of Isis.

True. It's nothing more than a ploy to rally support in Afghanistan. Something to increase their recruitment from Afghan society. They know all too well that Pak military is not in the same league as of Syrian or Iraqi forces.

This time Pakistan needs to be proactive, the signs are there and there is no more room for diplomacy, we cannot make everyone happy at the cost of our own peace and prosperity. Kabul's Karzaiz and Ghanis, AT and ISIS have shown their intentions, none of them wants any friendship with Pakistan. Simple rule should now be anything suspicious near durand line should be laid lifeless, we cannot afford prolonged ops against terrorists. Afghans have not seen peace for a long time and their intentions seem like they are not willing for peace and stability any time soon. Best option for Pakistan secure the border ASAP. Let ISIS AT and Karazaiz of Afghanistan sort their problems themselves and in between them.
