ISI ranked at 3rd by the Info-graphics Show

. .
Ever bee to an ISI office? Or a safe house.. :D

Not even their neighbors know they are ISI “hot spots”.

And yeah, I've been to one as well. Nothing to brag, I was just accompanying a friend who had some work there.

I work for a government agency too in the U.K, and I don't know about Pakistan but people who carry out any covert operations, they are called "covert" for a reason :P.

As I said, operatives who're involved into covert or clandestine operations do not have much time to roam around and tell people regarding their job. I am only talking about General Staff.

Well each country has their own rules, in the U.K even civilian staff who hold security clearance jobs are "advised" not to tell people where they work expect their immediate family (wife, mother, dad, brother). This is for obvious reasons as you can be used for hostile surveillance or can be exploited to access buildings, materials, documents not privy to the general public.

Anyway this thread is about I.S.I so I will butt own now :P

Obv that's the same in Pakistan. Why would they tell people regarding their occupation for no reason. Even our Army Personnel, mostly avoid revealing their identity.

But you see this is where I disagree, I have seen hundreds of pictures of Commandos from police and special forces on PDF with their unit badges, ranks, names and full faces on PDF. That there is a security risk!

I have their name, unit, rank, with some geo location I can find out where the picture was taken, do some social engineering start scanning Facebook (so many people have low privacy on Facebook it's not even funny) and I bet I can find matches to quite a few of these people.

For example:
using opensource tools like Facebook I can find the pictures matching one profile = and then using just an open friend list can start to identify people in his network and professional life:
https://www.facebook.com/aziz.qurashi.58
https://www.facebook.com/shermuhammad.sherkhan.7
https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100009352563536

And this is only open source stuff, so my point is Pakistanis need to be more security conscious. That is all, I will leave this thread now!

All above are cops.

But yes I agree with you.

Posting pics on social media is against army regulations...
A lot of people have been made examples by the army..

Including an infamous “couple”... whose pics in SD uniform went viral..

A lot of other pics are leaked by family members of soldiers ..

That is good, there should be no reason why you advertise you are working for such organisations on social media. In the U.K there is a total ban on listing your employer (Gov/Mil) on LinkedIn/Facebook/Twitter and also sharing pictures in Uniform are a strict no no!

. .
Info Graphics is a troll show, by no means an authority or even creditable source of information..

.
I wonder if our ISI guys wear black suits with fancy glasses that shouts , Hey i am Spy :D

.
Over-rated agency but I guess getting the basic job done!
