If world is so focking afraid of the Character S then y not just discard the character S for Alphabets. ISI is doing all to save Pakistan from our adversaries so what is counterparts problem.

ISI is a break that puts Scumbag politicians on hold , if it was not there these politicians would have literally sold Pakistan .

Normal people cannot even comprehend how ISI operates & how it keeps checks on its operatives unless you are an ISI agent or belong to the family of one.

Those who have a military background would know what i mean.

Currently ISI is dealing with

1. TTP insurgents
2. peace deals
3. Indian presence in Pakistan
4. Indian presence in Afg
5. US presence in Afg
6. Inside india (looking for threats )
7. Keeping Alive teh kashmir issue
8. Hunting traitors
9. Maintaining Pakistan's interest Afg

etc etc etc etc etc

and they are doing their job perfectly & like Politicians they DONT complain.

Thanks to Allah that ISI not in Pakistan government control .... specially in PPP control

What Indians on this forum fail to realize or understand is that a common Pakistani Love their Army and love ISI. Pakistani's will never go against ISI.They will never go wrong with ISI. Pakistani people also can not be influenced by other people talking nonsense about ISI either and as much as it hurt for some people to hear this but ISI is the savior of Pakistan! Period!

The discussion quality has hit a new low. :undecided:

Yep when you go onto a thread - it generally hits an incredible low. ;)

On topic the ISI has been the saviour of Pakistan on several occassions and fills all Pakistan hearts with pride

No one is saying that ISI isnt loved by pakistani Public ,infact i havent come across a single pakistani who has said it , point taken ... however the only point i highlighted was that according to constitution ISI comes under the jurisdiction of government of pakistan and not the other way around ... when we read articles that "ISI is not in Govt control" it gives a indication that constitution has failed its purpose there !

... the head of ISI is a nut case and uses ISI assets in killing leaders of international importance. What can Pakistan do to stop him ? Nothing.

No accountability = No discipline.

If such senario arises rest assured that Pakistan will deal with Indian crazed gunhoe terrorist whos hell bent in such crazy idea. Your post fiuts that description perfectly.

WASHINGTON: Mansoor Ijaz, the man who stirred Pakistan's 'memogate', has alleged that Pakistan's spy agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), especially its 'S' or strategic wing, was not in government control and was interfering in Afghanistan's political affairs.

There was considerable evidence available on the spy agency's involvement in setting the political stage in Pakistan by manipulating election results, the Pakistani-American businessman told CNN in an interview. ISI also interferes in the political affairs of Afghanistan by using the Haqqani network, he said.

"The ISI has two critical branches in it, one is called CT for counterterrorism, and the other is the S branch for strategic - it's sort of the arm of the ISI that does everything from political interventions in other countries, for example, Afghanistan, which is what they're doing through the Haqqani Network and the Taliban right now," Ijaz said.

"They do a lot of political interventions in their own country. You know, there are many times when it has been reported in the past and authentically reported and authoritatively reported by the Pakistani press that S Branch was involved in manipulating elections and doing things of that nature inside Pakistan," he said.

"So it's an organ of the state that nobody can control, and it is essentially the organ of the state that the army and the intelligence wings are using to shall we say coordinate or obstruct what it is that the political side of the government, the civilian side of the governments do in Pakistan," Ijaz said.

Asked about the effect of his op-ed that stirred the memogate Ijaz said: "There will never be a time in my view where the military is subservient to the civilians in our lifetime. It may take 30, 40 years for that transformation to come.

"But when it does come, at least what we did was make sure the civilian government has an equal shoulder to the military and the judiciary."

Why don't you worry about RAW and let us worry about ISI.

We are quite happy with our ISI and the current arrangement works for us.

If the Indians are unhappy with ISI, that means ISI is performing their duties quite well.
