good news after a long time.Karkey is begging Pakistan for out of court settlement and face-saving because they bribed officials in Pakistan to get contract and gov of Pakistan proved it in the front international court.i hope Pakistan will make them an example for other companies who think they can bribe bureaucrats to take contracts on their own rules. Rauf Klasra is reporting a story based on Babar Awan's utterances. I have a problem with this. Why?

1. Rauf Klasra 'broke' the LNG terminal & contract 'story' - so far it has turned out to be planted BS for political purposes.
2. Babar Awan is the major accused in the case of extreme delay in commissioning of Nandipur power project. We'll see what happens with that once he is no longer in government. Until then I do not take anything he says seriously.
3. There is a bunch of feel good news that I & everyone else hopes turn out to be true. But so far the record does not support blind optimism.

Pakistan has had anti-corruption watch dogs for a long time. Before NAB, there was Ehtesab Bureau. The issue is not with a debate of how useful these actually are. The problem is that these structures are mostly political in their purpose & outlook. The damage they cause is more than the benefit they bring. Else, why would corruption actually increase while these operate? What could these do that Anti-Corruption Establishment could not do, if given the resources? ACE would be much better placed to do its job if its work was highlighted and if it was given resources, because its procedures are more in line with the judicial process. If institutions such as Election Commission & Judiciary function well, we would not need such useless frankensteins.

Don't be dumb, and follow these random Youtube channels. Karkey initially let go of the issue due to active engagement of both Governments before 2013, and they're probably seeking an out of court settlement due to the active engagement between the two Governments.
