So true. Can't naively label bad and good based on military operations on whose lands. This is a much more advanced world than the cold-weapon era when farmers farm their own lands and feed their own families. Global trades make reliances on other countries, trading routes, supplies and demands, .. vital to all the countries. This means security beyond borders.

It appears more and more that US is subcontracting her "desired" wars to these small but troublesome pseudo countries such as Ukraine (for Russia), Taiwan (for China) and Israel (for Iran).. why use your own armed forces when you can make these colonies do the fighting for you you just send them weapons...You make money selling them weapons...you do not lose any of your own soldiers ...you are praised as the defender of the weak...and in the process you are keeping your enemies busy fighting .....smart plan if you ask me.

I think that's just an excuse to delay it further.

US is testing the water and pushing the boundaries. The whole political mood has changed in the past decade. China should be under no illusion that a new Cold War is here, and there will not be any meaningful dialogue going forward. It should prepare militarily in the coming years, because armed confrontation is coming.

More like an excuse to cancel the trip. Besides all the war-preparation efforts, China needs to take few pages from Erdogan's reponse to the West's interference into Turkey internal politics. The issue with Beijing, however, is its American policies were dominated by those who had lived and studied in America. So they're natural soft like Charmin. Can't say I didn't try but I couldn't find a spine in the Charmin. Some rough surfaces are the best they can show for.

Republic of China seems pretty China to me. In fact, its de jure territory is even larger than PRC.

Question for all non-Chinese: If US or Taiwan crosses the red line drawn by China mainland, and China starts the strait war, will you condemn China?

Every country has its bottom line to defend. It is very unfair to always blame the one who starts a war.

US has waged soft wars to Russia and China long ago. Soft war is as much deadly and destructive as hard war. After losing cold war, Russia lost big part of its territory and its bad economy caused low birth rate. It lost millions of population.

China has 10 times the population of Russia and 10 times as powerful military. Chinese air force and navy are second to none. Taiwan is much smaller and weaker than Ukraine and very vulnerable to blockade by Chinese air force and navy.

That is according to you since Japan forcifully annexed it in 1895 and the present President Umehara or Tsai is of Japanese origin.

Didn't Japan also claimed that Hawaii was part of her Empire? She did attacked Pearl Harbour and send a fleet there during WW2..

They are not supplied FREE and sold at a much higher price to Taiwan although they are pretty useless against China weapons.
