What's new

Is this the gun that will change the face of warfare in the ME and Africa?

. . .
Change the face of warfare? Nah. It's just an improved version of the standard AK-74 and that weapon did not change much. Don't get me wrong, the Kalashnikovs are all fine battlefield weapons, but the design is basically the same as the first ones issued many decades ago.

AK-12 can drop a man from 600 meters. That's the most accurate assault rifle in the world. AK-47 can only do 200 meters.

By then they'll have HALO type body armor and no AK-47 bullet can pierce that.

By then they will still be the same clowns like the ones in ISIS wrapped in towels and chanting god is great. Their leaders and caliph will have halo type armour though.

nah, whether the gun is a AK or AR variant the amount of rounds it takes to kill a single person is too high

was 50,000 bullets per kill in Vietnam and 250,00 per insurgent kill in Iraq

though different tactics would highly reduce this number like surprise attacks, raids, etc

but anyhow......guided and air burst is ammunition is the real game changer

AK-12 has a lot improvement over its predecessors however you can say it cannot be said entirely new weapon.

Really?

IS has no technology. Only AK-47.
What about suicide bombers ,IEDs & VBIEDs those are causing a lot of trouble.

. . .
Suicide bomb car cannot damage Halo type body armor.
If target is in close range it will be unlikely. Even if they come up with an very good armor it will be quite costly so unlikely to widespread to lower ranks of security forces (The common target along with civilians.)

They could make rounds that can pierce that stuff compatible with the Kalashnikov.
If Tech advancement will be there, may be energy based weapons will remove any need for new rounds.
