As someone who have never held a gun in my life, this is a clearly a murder. But I have seen US views such things very differently.

That will be on the jury. But I can tell you from the footage, it would have been self defense if the guy with the scissors approached him and threatening him. Even push back his girl who was constantly grabbing him and trying to get back at the suspect with the scissors still in his hands. However, he backed away when the suspect pulled out the gun and the suspect then went after him and shot him in the back as well as killing his son. The suspect going after the guy and shooting him in the back as well as executing them when they are not a threat anymore tells you that this is not self defense. Coming from someone who has a LTC.
