On topic. The article is a typical propaganda. China does not look at anyone as enemy. Her defense spending are in line for a country that has expanding trading routes, and in fact is considered low because her military hardware are considered outdated and not up to modern standards.

Even though she treats no one as an enemy but she knows there exist one that's trying to contain her to perform good for her citizens and thus such defensive deterrence are needed. She can never counter the spending of such country so forget about the enemy part.

Give everyone a break. Basically, your argument boils down to this: If any article from anywhere says China considers Japan and the US to be enemies 1 and 2 respectively, that article is propaganda.

Modern China do not look at Japan or any nation as an enemy but rather a close trading partner and a potential ally if many small differences can be iron out.

If such article slanders China's true intentions, yes it's more than a propaganda piece.

Why don't open up your mind a little and stop using anti rallies as signs of disharmonious between 2 nations. Even your country has had many difficulties with her northern neighbor and closest ally at times, does that mean she views Canada as her #2 enemy?

But then again, if it does not work with Chinese, what make you think it will work with anyone else?

Indeed, I noticed an interesting phenomenon. The students who come here now are much more aware of objective truths than in the past. 2008 was a turning point. Before that, some still had fantasies about this regime. Now, no one has any fantasies, because we look at things in a new light.
