Is the IMF Destroying Pakistan's Economy and Does the Islamic System have a solution?

However it is a fact that the IMF is a colonialist tool that never allows the country that receives loans to stand on its feet. This was even acknowledged by Imran Khan himself in 2011.

Going to IMF is a decision to be made by PMIK in the best interests of Pakistan. IMF is not forcing him to get the bailout, but he may or may not decide to do so. A choice. Don't like IMF? Don't go to it. Simple.

Could you please share some link that tax payers money is going to CSD or DHAs OR what you posted is your personal experience?

If there is none from above both points, then please don't malign our armed forces.

you mean Army is getting money from Gods hand to create these industries ?
dairy
cement
CSD
housing socities
civil contracts
Universities
no petroleum

take tax money , create something from tax money , sell it and then create more money.
no army in the world does it except Pakistan and Egypt ( china changed their stance in current decade removing army from buisness

We Pakistani are responsible for this massive economic destruction .we preferred buying made in china goods and other imported goods.Like we are spending billions of rupees on buying imported vehicles just
  • Vehicles: $2.7 billion in 2018

controlling a country's economy is most important thing to enslave that country. IMF has done it over the past decades and the blame shouldn't be put entirely on IMF. they had a plot to enslave pak and our leaders went right into the trap for their own material benefits. there are many behind the scen.es pacts which they get signed and such pacts are never shared with the public. during the zardari regime the EU pressured pak to eliminate capital punishment for some material benefits. zardari and co agreed and natin paid heavily till APS incident.they also support such leaders in a country who tow their( zionists) line and they also make the terms easier for them for future loans but the moment these countries try to get away from IMF they find themselves completely strangulated in the trap with no way out. this is the situation which pak is facing. now we want to get rid of IMF but we simply cant. their terms with the govt will be very tough now. this is how they break the back bone of a country. i have no doubt that our leaders in the past have deliberately sold the nation to the IMF and zionists. now their is no way out

Do you ever lived at armed forces housing provided to its employees?
I lived in it, I know how they work to uplift the living standard of the employees from available resources/means. Yes I believe ALLAH SWT blessing them for their hard work.

Agreed, Pakistan going to the IMF is a complete disaster. Hence corrupt politcal system must be changed and replaced. Capitalism is failing people globally. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

Yes Comrade. Communism (in it's true sense) is only the way forward to achieve true socialism.

Red Salute.

It depends how we utilize loan. If we take loan for development & production sector, it will benefit us in long term. Sometimes
loan is also necessary to continue ongoing projects , it saves time , With improving economy we can return it in installments.
Even if economy doesn't improve, tough decisions are required for example to increase tax, decrease imports.
Taking loan is not bad thing. Even bail out package is blessing, If one agrees to give money in such difficult time.
And there is no such thing as free lunch, you have to agree their TOS & conditions.
The world know that we are taking loan to pay off the older loans interests

Communism is dead and it has failed, communism from its core thoughts doesn't harmonise with human nature, why woukd I allow the state to own my clothes, house and everything else I ow you clearly haven't read what I've written.

If you're sincere try and research the Islamic political system.

@Lahorie

Pakistan needs a team of honest, patriotic, hardworking & competent technocrats led by a visionary leadership to come out of the deep debt trap of IMF which Pakistan got into thanks to the corrupt democratic dictatorships in 70 years.

That's already in place since May 2018, no?

Regards

The problem is you guy's know and are aware only about the cons of corrupt communist regime. I bet you have never read Das Kapital and the Communist Manifesto. If they were practiced in it's absolute letters and spirit, things would have been different. :-)

Communism died in 1991.

If anyone wants to prove that a system works, they need to prove it successfully in the real world.

Right now Capitalist countries are moving more and more towards Socialist policies, not because they think it is right or correct, but because it's an easy way to buy votes. In fact all of these welfare hand outs are likely to decrease competitiveness in the long-term.

Also, I don't think China's economic system can be exported to any other country, it was designed specifically for China, and is still in need of more reforms even in China itself.

Many nation's have gone to the IMF .But ours is the only nation that goes every four years. As others have said our military spends massive amounts on personal perks and pleasures and doesnt want that to change. Our politicians from Zardari to Khan are all lying thieves. And our people are unwilling to change . Sad.

Actions of previous governments not to treat forex as a precious commodity is why we are forced to go to the IMF. IMF reform policies generally don't work. There is a S Korean economist that points out S Korea achieved rapid economic development by using the opposite policies encouraged by the free market crowd in the IMF and world bank... Government collusion with the private corporations and tariffs on imports to support local industries...to name a few.

No one is forcing us to go to the IMF. Untill we have government that abandons the Anglo-American import economic model and embrace the east asian economic model.. the problems will continue.

I agree with most of what you saidx however i disagree on following thr east asian economic model. I was in Singapore last month and yes the country looks great and so does their economy but that doesnt benefit the people.

In Capitalism wealth is created but not distributed rather the rich get richer and the poor get poorer, speaking to my Singaporean colleagues who tell me that the average person is struggling to survive because of the cost of living.

I think we need to look to the Islamic political system for our solutions.
