There is nothing wrong with being a 'jack of all trades and master of none' if you consistently raise the bars of all those trades. And if you raise those bars high enough, opinions like those in the video are meaningless.F-35 is not necessarily a bad plane—however, it is years late, grotesquely over budget nor is the aircraft likely to ever deliver what its designers originally promised. The F-35 is a case of massive over ambition to develop one base airframe that can be adapted to replace half-dozen specialized jets. The result is an expensive jack-of-all-trades, but a master of none.
Developing a new class of fighter aircraft, is an exceedingly challenging endeavor for any country and/or company to undertake, and development process might completely contradict original scheduling due to uncertain factors.F-35 is not necessarily a bad plane—however, it is years late, grotesquely over budget nor is the aircraft likely to ever deliver what its designers originally promised. A 'toy' that your Pakistan would love to have. But think about it for a moment, if there are customers or customer wannabe, then it is not a toy. You got people in your government's leadership who are far wiser than you are and they wish Pakistan is an F-35 customer. Right now, Pakistan and India are military peers. This 'toy' would give either one advantage over the other. Make no mistake, if the US offers India the F-35, your Pakistan would be screaming bloody murder to high heavens.ha... just another toy to waste on imaginary enemies ... things we dont really need.

Toy?
Show me a single country that wishes its potential adversary to be on the same level as itself.like i said you making imaginary enemies like with Russia.. promoting poland buy planes.
Pakistan would love not have a single toy.. this is the current PM Imran doctrine.. he clearly stated that in his interview with RT.....we are force to buy cos we an idiot of neighbor called india whom US want to prop as a counter balance to China..
China which you to be "imagining" as your enemy simply cos you fear its economic and political rise.
Exactly my opinion on multirole fighters. I never understand why people are critical of multirole fighter planes that were designed to perform multiple roles and not over-specialize in one specific role. There is nothing wrong with being a 'jack of all trades and master of none' if you consistently raise the bars of all those trades.
They are critical because they are ignorant, inexperience, and do not care about both. They have no interest in the subject in an intellectual capacity, only on how emotionally they can criticize US. It is ultimately about US and not about the aircraft itself. Even in WW II we put bombs on fighters like the P-51 over Europe and the P-40 over China. So history actually supports the idea of 'jack of all trades' platforms.Exactly my opinion on multirole fighters. The only opinions that matters are the from the ones who lost to it.
