Is Pakistan just an extension of North India?

It's cringe worthy that some Indians yet want to draw comparisons between India and Pakistan. It's imperative that we leave that part of history just to text books and occasional articles.

India has moved on and has nothing common with Pakistan. Look at our goveranence, business, intellectual ability, sport ability, space, cinema, fashion, beauty contests, etc.

We are just a different breed. Why compare against Pakistan is beyond me.

I don't think any regular Indians want to visit. tge amount of hate there against Hindus and Jews which is very evident on this very forum will never ever get any one of us there anytime soon. Pakistan is not much of a tourist destination any way -there may be a few virgin sites with beautiful nature but beyond that not much tourism related infrastructure and of course not safe.

Can someone here tell me at least 5 things which distinguishes Pakistan from north India?
I feel if I visit Indian Punjab or jammu or haryana, I need not visit Pakistan... Instead it is worthwhile visiting eastern India or southern India as they are linguistically and culturally much different than north.

Speaking just of Punjab/Sindh region vs North India

Indus vs Ganges
Majority Muslim for almost a 1000 years vs majority Hindu
Local languages like Punjabi/Sindhi/Saraiki spoken vs mostly everyone speaks Hindi in north India
Large majority of Punjabi/Sindhi people and culture.
Indus region has been part of several western empires (Persian, Greek, Arab, Central Asian) while North India has not.

I don't think this forum is representative of either the Pakistanis or the Indians. Most Pakistanis I've met in real life are extremely friendly, polite people. I guess we just judge each other by comments on social media these days.

There is a unusual calmness in that region and when you visit you get a sense of inner peace that cannot be described. No wonder people there are the most content and have high longevity. I visited in Oct-Nov last year and the infrastructure has superbly improved, the roads are EU level. Chinese are taking good advantage of the opportunity and they are visiting in large numbers to have vacations, especially the rich well off ones.

Advantage of Pakistan is wherever you go it's very family friendly.
That's good to know. Thanks.

That proves my point, does it not? - We're not the same people.
They get focussed on the details and miss the big picture and can't realise that they get trapped in their own silliness.

Goan Restaurants selling every kind of non-veg delicacies including Pork, crab, beef etc...
Since when Goa became part of the North India? Have you ever checked the map? Now read the title of the thread again before stomping on your stupidness here.

Exactly.. To be honest other than Indian punjabis, north Indians are the last one who wants to be associated with Pakistanis.. Its always the bengalis, south Indians who come up with "we are same people" on social media.. North Indians have superiority complex over Pakistanis.. Right from the dogras of Jammu to North Rajasthan.

Well you could say that. My point was that Pakistan is influenced by Pushtuns right from Sir Syed Ahmad Khan starting AMU to Pushtuns who fought for Kashmir and Hyderabad (deccan) to Military leaders to like Ayub Khan to Scientists like AQ Khan to sportmen like Jansher/Jahangir Khan to Politicians like Imran Khan.

You cannot say the same for Sindhis and Punjabis of Pakistan. They did not influence much when it came to Pakistan.

On the other hand North India is very much influenced by Sindhis and Punjabhis of India.

Lol well in that case as a pukhtoon i am happy with that. But on a serious all ethnicities are now influenced by each other in Pakistan. The biggest example is the food. Chapli kebeb is a pukhtoon dish but is a favorite all over the country just like lahori kunna, sindhi biryani and balochi sajji.

They have a obvious inferiority complex with Pakistanis

Very obvious
Yah we can see that.. In sports, economy, soft power and every other sphere.. North Indians are better in every field. The stats only get close when we include rest of India.

.
That speaks volumes of your ignorance and stupidity as none of person you mentioned except perhaps Jahangir Khan is Pashtoon...so you don't even know the difference between Pashtoon and Pathan.

Sorry mate but you are wrong, apart from sir syed ahmed khan and AQ khan all the other guys are pukhtoons.

And whats the difference between pashtoons and pathans. I thought pathan is a term that punjabis gave us.
