This is just some propaganda that some Pakistanis are now starting to repeating lies emanating from west and India. We must remember how resources are equally distributed and that the economic mess is the work of politicians and terrorists in the province. The myth of victimisation of our Pakistani Baloch in their homeland, Pakistan is just that a myth.

This propaganda is used to weaken us and mislead our young Pakistani Baloch. To start, the myth revolves around the idea that Pakistani Baloch are or were deprived of state resources and were not allowed to manage their affairs. How Pakistani Balochis received an unfair deal is never spelled out in any detail. But the accusation is made with little evidence to back it up.

1. Balochistan receives 9% of state resources. With less than five per cent of Pakistan's population.

2. Balochistan resources are used in the same way that resources of all other provinces are used. The rules for this are in the Constitution and are same for all the provinces. If the provincial govt feels the rules are not fair they can approach the Supreme Court with evidence. This is has never been done cos there is no evidence.

3. Balochistan province lags behind in the areas of security, education, healthcare and jobs. All of these fall under the the provincial government, which has always been run by Baloch politicians. If blame is to be assigned it should on persons that have ruled the province as representatives of the Pakistani Baloch.

4. Terrorists encouraged by our enemies like India have destroyed Balochistan’s economy. By resorting to terrorism a few traitors killed or scared away most of the teachers, doctors and professional.

Both Baloch and non-Baloch professional Pakistanis avoid the province thanks to these terrorists. No person is going to even think of making an investment in the province in the conditions that these terrorists have created. Business closures and prospects for the future are less. Even I was thinking of buying some plots of land near gwador but am reluctant to cos of security issues

This is not the work of the rest of the country Punjab etc. This is the creation of these terrorists who also happen to be sons of two or three tribal chiefs.

Pakistani Baloch must open their eyes to the fact that the people who have done this are enemies. Those who have sold themselves to foreign governments. The rest are too gullible or ill-informed and have fallen prey to a false sense of injustice which is not helping the cause of Balochistan province or of Pakistan.

So please can Pakistanis stop coming with crap. What needs to be done is to eliminate the ones causing this mess and show all and sundry the truth.

No , we do not have 165 separatist movements , I am really sorry

Western propaganda machines can utter what they want to , doesn't bother me ...

Talking of blunder , Can you name a country which has beef with every other neighbor ? :azn:

LOL!!! Makes me laugh everytime I hear this argument. Do you guys even realose what that means??

Ok let me see.... we have 165 so called separatist movements and still we added Sikkim, Goa to our "Akhand Bharat" :cheesy:

And you guys without having any movememnts have lost Bangladesh and are in the process of losing another..... hehehehe:smokin:

.
foolish Indian look in the mirror we are talking about Pakistan.

This is what is not happening in Pakistan:

Almost every state has separatist movements, many of them armed. A large number of Muslims were killed in the past few years across the country and the numbers are on a steady rise. On top of that India has become a paraya for its neighbours. None of its neighbours appreciate their closeness to India and they all blame it for meddling in their affairs.

63 per cent of India’s new budget will go to the military, police, administration and debt service (2008-09). The military might of centric Hindu elites in Delhi isolated people of Jammu & Kashmir and the northeastern states. It is difficult for any community to feel part of a larger country when the armed forces of the country are deployed to silence them.

According to an Indian official report , 165 of India’s 602 districts — mostly in states like Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar, Orissa, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh — are “badly affected” by tribal and dalit violence, which government termed as “Maoist terror”. India’s military spending was recorded at US $21.7 billion in 2006 and it planned to spend $26.5 billion during 2008/09 financial year. 85 percent of the Army’s budget is spent on the enormous manpower of 1,316,000, which is the fourth largest in the world.

India experienced a rapid increase in demand for security in the period following the Mumbai attacks. Thanks to terrorism imports by world’s weapon industry! India is now one of the world’s most terror-prone countries, with a death toll second only to Iraq, says a report from the National Counter terrorism Center in Washington. India’s crime rates, already some of the highest in the world, are also rising, as is the incidence of corporate espionage. Approximately 5.5 million private security guards employed by about 15,000 security companies in India. As an industry,it is now the country’s largest corporate taxpayer. (CAPSI report)

In 2005, Business Week reported that India became Israel’s largest importer of weapons, accounting for about half of the $3.6 billion worth of weapons exported by the Jewish state.

“Do remember that 34 years ago, NSG was created by Americans. Hence it has been their onus to convince the group to grant the waiver to India to carry out the multi-billion dollar business as India is a large market,” says former Atomic Energy Commission chairman, Mr P K Iyengar.

.
But on topic I feel it is good for India if Pakistan can sort out their mess. I actually believe a strong Pakistan will be good for us. Look at EU countries. They all cooperate now even after ww2.

In exactly same way, the general citizens were fooled in Pakistan during 1971 war by the govt of Pakistan.
The public believed there was no problem in east pakistan till bangladesh got independence. But this time situation is different, there are more intelligent and smart people sitting in Govt of Pakistan and media than AryanB who acknowledge the grievance and feel some action needs to be taken to develop the region. And If right efforts towards development are taken I am sure the grievances can be addressed. But denying grievances is even more criminal.

You are trying to say their are no problems in Baluchistan, and they do not have any greivances. Then you are living in different universe.
No foreign country can guide insurgency unless some local problem exists.

Regarding import of weapons, Pakistan is fourth largest importer of arms with much smaller economy.

.
RAW already entered Baluchistan and is trying its best to worsen the situation . Pakistan this time is too acting like China by not letting much info to go out and i feel its faking that there is no problem at all .

PM says threats from terrorism, left-wing extremism persist, need constant vigilance
NetIndian News Network
New Delhi, April 16, 2012
.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today said threats from terrorism, left-wing extremism, religious fundamentalism and ethnic violence persisted in the country and demanded constant vigilance on the part of the Centre and the States.
"They need to be tackled firmly but with sensitivity. The forces behind them must not only be contained but should also be effectively rolled back," he said in his inaugural address at the Conference of Chief Ministers on Internal Security convened here by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Singh said that, since the conference was last held in February 2011, the internal security situation had, by and large, been satisfactory and commended the joint efforts by the States and the Cente to maintain peace, amity and harmony throughout the diverse land.

"This is undoubtedly a complex and onerous task. It is an endeavour that requires the united effort of us all both or two centres and in the states. Internal security is a matter in which the States and the Centre must work together, hand in hand, and in harmony," he said.

He said the conference had proved its utility over several years as a platform to exchange ideas and to build consensus on the possible ways and means to strengthen the internal security apparatus.

Singh said that, in respect of left-wing extremism, while 2011 was a better year than 2010 in terms of the number of deaths caused by the left-wing extremist groups, there was still a long way to go, both in terms of including people in the affected areas in the growing economy and society, and in terms of providing them with adequate account of security.

"The so called “protracted people’s war” waged by left-wing extremists against the state and society continues to target civilians and security forces, and economic infrastructure such as railways, mobile communications and power networks. In the recent past, Naxalites have also resorted to abducting foreign nationals," he said, in an obvious reference to the recent abduction of two Italians by Maoist groups in Odisha. Both have since been released.

The Prime Minister said the Government's holistic approach to the problem remained valid and necessary, paying simultaneous attention to security, development, good governance and perception management.

"In the last two years, the Integrated Action Plan has brought development to villages in the most backward and violence affected districts in our country. We have also extended the Plan from the original 60 districts to 78 districts. Given the inter-state ramifications of left-wing extremism, the Action Plan has been deliberated in detail with the seven affected states.

"At the same time, we should work together to find better and more effective ways and means of implementing our holistic approach," he said.

Singh said that, like other internal security matters, there was need for joint and coordinated efforts to deal with the challenge of terrorism, "whatever be its origin, whether internal or external, and whatever its motivation".

"This is a struggle in which we cannot relax. When we see turbulence in the region and growing factors of instability around us, we must strengthen our defences against terrorism. Today, terrorist groups are nimble, more lethal than ever before and increasingly networked across frontiers," he said.

He said accurate and timely intelligence was a prime necessity if the country is to defeat terrorism, preventing it and countering it effectively.

"We have made some progress in this regard, strengthening our intelligence gathering apparatus and establishing NATGRID. The operationalising of four NSG hubs and NIA branch offices and MAC-SMAC connectivity are other instances. We will discuss the National Counter Terrorism Centre on May 5 in a separate meeting, as some chief Ministers suggested," he said.

Singh said there was no question that the burden of the fight against terrorism fell largely on the States’ machinery. He said the Centre was ready to work with the States to put in place strong and effective institutional mechanisms to tackle this problem.

He said that, in Jammu and Kashmir there had been a perceptible improvement in the security and law and order situation. As a result, the State witnessed the highest inflow of tourists and pilgrims during 2011. The Panchayat elections were successful and were more proof of the people’s desire to be able to lead normal lives free from the shadow of violence and terrorism, he said.

He said the situation in some of the North-Eastern states had, however, remained complex. He said there was some improvement in terms of incidents of violence, but there was no question that much remained to be done to restore calm and eliminate extortion, kidnapping and other crimes by militant or extremist groups on the pretext of ethnic identity.

He said the pilferage of development funds by militant groups was hurting the efforts to improve the lives of the people of the region. Inter-factional clashes, such as those in Tirap and Changlang, were another source of insecurity, he said.

"The answers to these problems lie in strengthening the law and order capabilities of the states concerned and in reasserting and rebuilding normal democratic political and developmental processes. More proactive state police forces reducing reliance on central armed police forces would be a useful step forward. The Centre will continue to work with the states of the region to make this possible. I would hope that the implementation of infrastructure projects in the North-East will create conditions for the return of normalcy," he said.
Singh said he was happy that the political processes of negotiation and dialogue were underway with several insurgent and ethnic separatist groups in the North-East that are committed to finding amicable solutions to their problems.

"These dialogues, which are being undertaken by the Ministry of Home Affairs in close consultation with the States concerned, are making steady headway," he said.

He said the Centre would continue its support to capacity building and police modernisation efforts by the States.

"State governments are the primary responders in most internal security situations. We have extended the police modernisation scheme and we are continuing the Coastal Security Scheme and the Border Area Development Programme. I would urge the States and Ministry of Home Affairs to carry forward police reform and modernisation to their logical conclusion" he said.

The Prime Minister stressed that no system or structure could be better than the people who man it.

"The internal security structures of India are no exception. It is therefore important that we find ways and means of improving not just the number but also the quality of our police personnel. I hope that your meeting will suggest new and innovative ways to address this issue and to make rapid progress in improving the conditions under which our personnel work. If we are able to do so, we would be repaying in some measure the dedicated and loyal service of our police and defence personnel which has helped us to make our country safer," he added

foolish Indian look in the mirror we are talking about Pakistan.

This is what is not happening in Pakistan:

I'm not going to put Pakistan side by side and compare, but most of the statements below are outdated i.e they had happened rather than happening

Almost every state has separatist movements, many of them armed. A large number of Muslims were killed in the past few years across the country and the numbers are on a steady rise.

India doesn' have 35K number here.

On top of that India has become a paraya for its neighbours. None of its neighbours appreciate their closeness to India and they all blame it for meddling in their affairs.

India is largest country here and inefficient Govts will use India as a political baits for their domestic public.

63 per cent of India’s new budget will go to the military, police, administration and debt service (2008-09).

What else will 63 % of budget will go for

The military might of centric Hindu elites in Delhi isolated people of Jammu & Kashmir and the northeastern states. It is difficult for any community to feel part of a larger country when the armed forces of the country are deployed to silence them.

India isn't developed country , Not every Indian state force can have COIN capability as the Army.

Besides deployment of Army in Kashmir is obvious, given events like Kargil.

Outdated report, Andhra Pradesh is far from "badly affected"

India’s military spending was recorded at US $21.7 billion in 2006 and it planned to spend $26.5 billion during 2008/09 financial year. 85 percent of the Army’s budget is spent on the enormous manpower of 1,316,000, which is the fourth largest in the world.

India experienced a rapid increase in demand for security in the period following the Mumbai attacks.

Which nation wouldn't?

Thanks to terrorism imports by world’s weapon industry!

Illogical statement.

India is now one of the world’s most terror-prone countries, with a death toll second only to Iraq, says a report from the National Counter terrorism Center in Washington.

Wasn't this statement already proven to be obsolete

As of 2011

The latest Terrorism Risk Index (TRI), released by risk analysis and mapping firm Maplecroft, rates 20 countries and territories as ‘extreme risk,’ with Somalia (1), Pakistan (2), Iraq (3), Afghanistan (4) once again topping the ranking. The ‘extreme risk’ category also includes: South Sudan (5), Yemen (6), Palestinian Occupied Territories (7), DR Congo (8) Central African Republic (9), Colombia (10), Algeria (11), Thailand (12), Philippines (13), Russia (14), Sudan (15), Iran (16), Burundi (17), India (18), Nigeria (19) and Israel (20).

There must be some correction over here.

Pakistan is not heading for another disaster in Balouchistan.
Pakistan is already in a disaster in Balouchistan. There are terrorists and foreign elements who are behind the murder and kidnapping going all over. Pakistani forces are trying trying to counter this by deployment and fierce gun-fights in the terrorist hideouts.

Please Indians (and Pakistanis) stop the immaturity on the thread (and the forum). We have witnessed the self-respect and arrogance of people, who wish to see Pakistan broken and search for the same story but different authors and post on the forum... I don't know why... posting these articles won't mean that Pakistan will break.

1971 was something different with distance of 1000s of miles and poor communication/troop deployment and gorilla warfare by the terrorists. It's been over 40 years and all attempts have failed so will this attempt... Pakistan will not break... now post what ever you want to.

Now you can see the difference in what you have posted.
Indian PM acknowledges what is main problem and looking forward to solve it in different ways.
Exactly opposite you are doing, you refuse to accept that problem exists in Balochistan.

There lies the difference, you can suppress the news and feel happy thinking that everything is fine in Pakistan.

Then wait for the time when ISI hits you real hard in your a$$ in Kashmir. That time isn't that far. Then you will run around the world with your pants on fire!
