Why won't it happen? Is it because gora shahib hasn't done it for you. It's an engineering problem that's allBallistic missiles from a frigate? That wont happen. Cruise missiles are possible but unlikely in the near future, more likely they will be left for submarines to fire. The frigate fleet should and will focus on the antishipping and anti air and anti sub roles. They are not survivable enough against IN to perform land attack.
your on about the tyoe 057You seem eager to know why it has a taller VLS The reason could be
1. Taller VLS that can fit LR-SAM/LACM (as you mentioned), or
2. taller VLS that can be fitted with quad-packed MR-SAM
There is one more difference - the thing above the VLS cells (near the bridge area). Isn't that FCS ?
Are you referring to the sphere/ball atop of the bridge area? I think that's a target illumination radar (for guiding the HQ-16). Could it be that the one at IDEAS was designed for a SAM that uses an active terminal seeker? DK-10?
your on about the tyoe 057
HQ-9 (or LACM) could be it. Yes the IDEAS frigate isn't the Type 057. It really does seem like the CSOC 4,000-ton frigate with a taller VLS section and no illumination radar. It's also conspicuously sitting beside the CSOC S26, which is likely the base platform of the Hangor (II). The only photos are of it are only from IDEAS ...Yes, the sphere. Could be the illumination radar.
There isn't much difference in the length of HQ-16 (5 m) and DK-10A (5.054 m). If the intent is to put only the DK-10A's (under development) in the VLS, there is not need to have a taller VLS (as in the model).
HQ-9 (6.8 m) is also active radar homing. So, maybe the IDEAS 2016 model frigate is capable of fitting the HQ-9 unlike the CSOC 4000 ton frigate.
Type 057 is a rumoured design, not exactly the IDEAS 2016 model.
...watch the new frigates be F-22P with FL-3000N.
New Recruit

Yes offensive weapons like YJ-18, CX-1 or GQM-163.YJ-18 is good option for PN.
it won't happen because the longs vls available on the market is 7m and the smallest ballistic missiles in Pakistan's arsenal (abdali and ghaznavi) are 10m tall. It also wont happen because ballistic missiles are heavy and take up a huge amount of space to do a job better done by a smaller cheaper missile like a lacm. As for longer range missiles like ghauri and shaheen, they are 15-16 m in height and that is nearly the height of the superstructure of the ship. On 4000t frigate its a stupid idea and it doesn't take a white man to see that. Why won't it happen? Is it because gora shahib hasn't done it for you. It's an engineering problem that's all
I would even let it pass if there had been a firm plan for stationing 2 long-range fighter squadrons (e.g. Su-35 or MiG-35) at SAC to provide persistent coverage. The only hope we have is the fact that the PAF is raising a new air base (i.e. PAF Bholari) to station maritime support assets. One could hope that PAF Bholari will be home to something new ... @Bilal Khan (Quwa), i agree, they are likely to get a subpar ship. While i see the rational of the opv/swift ship acquisitions, i dont think PN is paying attention to the glaring gap in their defense (anti air capacity). Pakistan as a whole pays little attention to its SAM networks which is disappointing. Look at the saudis intercepting the Houthi rocket over the weekend. Pakistan nor its ships could do that.
