Is " Nice Attack" part 2 of the Western conspiracy to declare the Muslim world a terrorist?

Why in the hell is everyone misquoting Mahathir?

He started out by condemning the stabbing, and then also pointed out that the French are responsible for millions of deaths (and if we look at france's colonial history, he's right), and if muslims were to apply eye for an eye, they would be justified in killing just as many french people, but Muslim don't.

I saw a bunch of dumbass redditors getting their panties twisted, because they read a misleading headline.

The point is, context matters.
Oh snap, his comments are completely different from what is being percieved on this thread!
Makes more sense now. Thanks.
tell me one thing if insulting the man who is followed faithfully by 1.8 billion worldwide is seen by Macron as being part of FREE SPEECH, then why did the French Foreign Ministry issued a protest towards Erdogan calling Macron a madman , and saying such Insults are unacceptable? why did they do that ? So isnt Erdogan's speech also FREE SPEECH by Macron's own standards? Tell me.
Dude, I agree with you a 100% on that. Protestation is a very sensible response to speech that is hurtful.
When you bring scimitars to an open debate, that's when shit hits the fan.

This clause, does it apply to a particular jurisdiction or to all humanity?
Can you and should you make rules for the world? You can have a say in engineering freedom of speech laws in your country, but I don't think you can dictate how another country or religion should operate.
The French are blasphemers, you can choose not to go to France, but don't expect them to look up to you for defining what freedom of speech means.

If it counts for anything, I fully support your freedom of speech. Macron obviously wasn't subtle.
The problem, from the French people's perspective, is the invisible line that exists in the minds of certain muslims who respond to free speach with unabashed violence. That is not an eye for an eye by any means as far as the way the French see it is concerned.
I agree with you 100% as well. unfortunate, his decision has put everyone at risk. And i mean everyone, cuz now the muslim populations are also scared of being targeted by extreme nationalists. same goes for the native french. For god's sake we all have relatives and loved ones in Europe, this has put everyone at risk. This was extremely dangerous. I pray for everyone's safety.

We have a right to boycott French for insulting our Prophet saws.
That is not what people will react on.
Rather the impression that many Muslims support the killings of innocents.
Blame the victims by ”false flag” conspiracy theories.
Talks about ”teaching lessons”.
If Muslims considers this to a fight between civilizations (which such comments indicate) Muslims in the West will be in trouble if they convince the West.
There are plenty of sane Muslims but their voices can easily be drenched by the actions of individuals.

History back fired.

France herself is no innocent.

Algeria buries fighters whose skulls were in Paris museum

I hope he also covers the 300 Algerians bludgeoned to death by the police when they were only peacefully protesting in Paris, then thrown into the River Siene.

Perhaps French Muslims should start to call Macron “Manu le banal plouc” or “Manu le ringarde bigot”. The nickname Manu seems to irritate him.

They should ask him, what ever happened to “Le respect, c’est le minimum dans la republique”?

Macron’s actions have made a “foutre le bordel”.

Save your rant for someone else, i do not really care.

The one who insults our Prophet Muhammad saws is a bigger criminal than a murderer, and his punishment is eternity in Hellfire.

I don't condone murder, but I won't feel sympathy for the animal who abused our most beloved.

As for the Nice attack, it shouldn't have happened. Churchgoers were innocent, they have my condolences.

If I am not mistaken, the Quran states that killing one innocent, is like killing all Humanity.
Is there any place in the Quran where Muhammad states that insulting him is worse than killing all humanity?
Muhammad was against idolizing him.
I certainly think putting him on a piedestal is exactly what he wanted to avoid.

This is human nature. If i were to come and slap you, would you just sit by and just get slapped. You will slap back, even if there is a law that allows me to slap you. That is human nature. You can pass millions of laws about freedom of Speech, but always remember. Freedom of Speech comes with consequences. Good or bad depends, but there are always going to be consequences, even if we pass every single law.

What these reactionaries over here don't realize is that they're putting innocent Muslims in the West at risk of retaliatory attacks with their sloganeering and battle talk.

It's a crusade mentality that many have yet to get out of. Not all of us think this way.

And I can bet you someone will come and twist my words as something Islamophobic or accuse me of being an Indian or a "bootlicker of the West." Or report my comments.

They're too polite and well mannered. When has western society ever reacted in kind to such violence ?

There was that 1 anomaly, the attack on the mosque in Christchurch.. apart from that, what else ?

Macron is a kid with delusion of grandeur, since he became president has been trying to portray a Godfather like image to the people. Remember just like trump did, want to be seen as some sort of savior of western values? Then attack Islam. Just like in US, this freedom of speech and expression does not apply everywhere. Let me tell you a funny story that will make this whole "fight for freedom of speech" look like a stunt and nothing more.
In 2009, freedom of expression loving Charlie hebdo fired its cartoonist Maurice sinet for antisemitism, Sinet had talked about the son of france's late president Sarkozy's son wanting to convert to judaism in order to get married to a wealthy jewish woman. And, that was seen as an antisemitic statement , charlie hebdo later asked maurice to either apologize or get fired. Maurice didn't appologize (A real believer in Freedom and Democracy) so he was fired. So there you go guys this whole bullcrap is just another showmanship. Events like these are meant to further Balkanize 2 groups ; West & Islam. You'll find out why in the near future.

Listen pazheet.

The western world will not get down to your Hindutva ways. They're much more evolved than your cow belt folks

Let me be clear. I will not condemn the action of one criminal from a specific position of being of the same religion as him. It is not my job to condemn the criminal act of anyone purely because I share a trait with that person.

Should all men condemn this act?

Should everyone the same height as him condemn this act?

On the flip side, should all Muslims not also be expected to proactively condemn any crime committed by a Muslim if we're expected to proactively condemn this automatically? If I'm expected to condemn this, why should I not be expected to condemn shoplifting committed specifically by Muslims? Surely I "share responsibility or culpability" for Muslim shoplifters if by western deep logic I somehow share responsibility or culpability for this knife attack?

Now - with the above in mind - I will certainly condemn any act of murder or terrorism, including this one, purely from a humanitarian position. I hope the perpetrators see justice swiftly.

Separately, the religion of Islam - which is not directly relevant to this terrorist act of murder - does condemn such acts, as others have mentioned. All major faiths, legal codes and civilised societies condemn such barbarism.

However, be clear. At no point am I condemning or apologising for this act from the specific position of being of the same faith as the perpetrators because that would imply a degree of shared responsibility or culpability on my part purely due to shared religion.

Hope you understand now how an entire faith group should not have to answer for this or any other crime committed by an individual follower of said group.

Its just figurative to say muslim world should condemn, doesn't mean each and every person who can talk or write should.

Its just an essence which need to come out that in general muslims all over the world do not condone this violent behavior and it can only happen when sufficient and representative voice condemn it.

To your argument that not entire faith is answerable, yes it true, but when too many from the same faith start supporting and repeating the act, somehow it becomes a moral responsibility of others in the same faith to denounce for all practical reasons.

We are social, we have tendency to club people and identify them, we can't be selective there.
