Regarding regional dynamics/situation, the poorest arab countries are write-offs. Jordan is hgh in that list. A broke Jordan can never have an independent strong foreign policy, because it depends so much on foreign aid. case closed. Egypt is also high in that list, but has a bigger population, bigger territory, not as poor, and has a good army.

I agree. Egypt has a good army it doesnt want to use either(wars are expensive to fund). And they got chance for democracy and rejected it. so there you go.
