What's new

Is it too difficult?

We have a Penal code. If someone has said like this appropriate law should be applied to him/her. Clear enough, I hope?

Than it applies to vinay katiyar as well. Why don't you apply same logic there. Any other problem except cherry picking?
It was just clarification of my own statement, nothing else. Please do not over read.

No certainly it was not. You asked me a question.

Nutcase (your words) vs Elected Ministers. Spot the difference.

Yes, I did ask. Your three points came next, then my clarification of the reason behind my question. Does it help, or should I break down to more rudimentary level?

What I mentioned was also a minister not a an ordinary person.

This is called contradicting yourself. first you said that you were clarifying your own statement. Now you accept that you asked me What is true out of two.

Another serious thread ruined by low-quality posters (Indian trolls) because they are allowed to post in 'Senior's Cafe' based on their post count...

Absolute rubbish are two things here.

  • That titles like senior and elite are given based on post count rather than post quality. Some of the elite are elite only at trolling.
  • That seniors cafe rather than being an exclusive place that it was promised to be, became infected with trolls bcz of the indiscriminate privilege allotted based on post count rather than membership based on recommendation which was what was promised..
These things must be seriously considered.. Make people generals or field marshals based on post counts but don't make them elite and seniors.. When the elite members of this forum troll, it becomes a sad story.

First of all let me state that I believe that no issue in the world can be solved nor mitigated unless it is brought to light or discussed.

This is why I personally like to about the issues that plague my country no matter how uncomfortable that discussion may be.

I highlighted that Kashmir both Indian and pakistani has been stuck in a state if limbo due to the ineptness of the UN in highlighting a positive solution or a form of local governance where the native population can exhibit its own control, as well to the fault of two powers who have thrown all the gloves off and rather than respecting native choice, have openly announced that such territories are theirs.. Slogans like juggular vein, atoot ang, incomplete partition highlight a open declaration that Kashmir is only going to have two options only. India or Pakistan. A third option is neither respected nor talked about without it becoming a national security issue.

As we come to article.. First of all let me commend the author. To type such a piece in a platform where nationalism and patriotism flows like rivers is an act of courage which must be commended.

Now first of all let me highlight the presence of security officials in such a huge number especially of those that are trained to fight wars and hostile populations will always create a friction and the longevity of those presence will only further inflame the situation.. This is no solution and the heavy handed approach used by security officials is bad enough but the fact that the government supports such actions and the populace at large refuses to condemn them only makes things worse...how can there be silent dissent when nobody is willing to listen to them. Of course they will then pick up the gun. Secondly blaming Pakistan also does not help since many of those that are not satisfied will feel even more disenfranchised...

I think that India should change its approach. Rather than forcing nationalism, making open threats and commending rights violation or its outright denial, a change in policy needs to be enacted.. Talk to those that are protesting. Create a dialogue. This will actually deflate the situation as many will believe that atleast their voice is being heard.

Secondly change the security policy. Localize the security officials even further and provide a lesser heavier hand to control the situation.. Listen to any rights violation and take action. It will go a long way.

Thirdly I believe that the greatest flame that is burning Indian Kashmir and is forcing pakistan to combat governance issues of Pakistan kashmir is the very fact that these areas are in a limbo. The issue of Kashmir must be solved and that is only possible through dialogue. How can a solution come to pass when dialogue is neither being done with Pakistan nor with the protestors?

Fourthly the attitude of social media bhakts must be controlled. Blaming Islam, kashmiri attitude and open threats will only further create a chasm between the Kashmiri's and the rest of india...

Simple fact. Neither you are going anywhere nor Kashmir is going anywhere. Talking is the only solution. Military option won't help against city blocking protests. They never help.
Ignoring a problem won't solve it. Military actions will further escalate tensions in Kashmir. Maybe if the next generation is smart enough I'd say they should identify the problem and find a solution.
If we put Kasmir aside I don't find the logic behind Pakistan and India being enemies, it's a stupid game....

It never does yet it is considered as a genuine solution to problems.. Only through brunt tackling can a problem be solved irrespective of its magnitude.

Military escalation against protests is never going to work but will only fuel discontent and increase the wave of insurgency.

Next generation will be born from this fire and will struggle to penetrate the flames and its smoke to find a reasonable solution.

Complete identification and its solution through dialogue is the only way.

If we put Kasmir aside I don't find the logic behind Pakistan and India being enemies, it's a stupid game....

There won't be. Even partition wounds will heal as new generations come to pass and slowly a fact will sip through that neither Pakistan nor India is going anywhere and both will have to learn to live together.

That does make various assorted Indian posters feel vaguely uneasy.

This gives me one more opportunity to bring out my hobby-horse: there could easily be invitation-only threads.

To be honest, there is little logic behind Pakistan and India being enemies even keeping Kashmir in view. Of course that involves small but significant steps forward, backward or in some other direction by both sides. Small but significant.

This topic has being repeated again and again (recently by Imran Khan) but for the sake of this conversation, if Germany and France could shake hands and live in peace why not Pakistan and India, keeping in mind their death toll in even one war is far greater than our four major conflicts. Peace is the only way forward for India and Pakistan as a considerable population on both sides is in poverty.
But at the same time Germany and France are highly industrialized while India and Pakistan are still developing and far from being reaching that goal. There are some forces inside both countries that do not want this to happen.
My generation (90s) are fed up with this pointless animosity because both countries did not achieve anything from such rivalry, we grew up in this environment of hate and we need to realize that this needs to stop.
As for people of Kashmir, they deserve every right to make decision for their lives and they deserve a choice for their own benefit even if they want a independent Kashmir (most likely) which is not impossible in order to achieve this both countries should initiate a proper peace talk for the future generations of these three regions which was being spoiled for a never ending conflict.

Enmity between India and Pakistan is artificially created and and gradually hostility is increased by a vested interest group to justify its so many things they don't deserve.

I count three vested interest groups: Indian, Kashmiri and Pakistani. Named in alphabetical order.
