When BNP was in power, PM Begum Zia proposed to count the total number of deaths in the 1971 war. Hasina Bibi of that BAL party started agitation throughout the country calling Begum Zia a Razakar.

Hasina was claiming Zia should trust the figure of 3 million deaths told in London by mistake. So, the real figure will remain unknown. But, it is far behind that 3 million figure. If it is true, every family had one who was killed. But, nothing such thing happened.

However, Lawlessness was not caused by Bengali Muslims. Who were 100% patriotic Pakistanis.

It was caused by Biharis and Raw backed Hindus and secular forces.

They massacred each other - it was a bloodbath like the 1947 Punjab.

But like the British in 1947 - Pak military failed to restore order.

Pak military is morally culpable for the deaths but the actual killing was done by Hindus and Biharis. Killing each other with pak military as useless bystanders!!

Yes, Bengalis went for an independent country, but it was when negotiations broke down between Mujib, Bhutto, and Yahya Khan in Dhaka, and Yahya canceled the convention of the National Assembly session scheduled on 25 March.

Yahya raised the stakes and forced the people in the east to demand a separate country. Mujib did not endorse it, and this is the reason that he allowed himself to be arrested.

It was Yahya-Bhutto gong that started the showdown after they arrested Mujib on the 25th evening.

Now, you claim Mujib under arrest for 10 months was the RAW agent. How about Yahaya and ZA Bhutto? Were they not the real RAW agents to start killing students on the University ground in the dead of the 25th night?
