Is it time for government of Pakistan to temporarily nationalize the private hospitals?

Pakistan is having an emergency situation with regards to the spread of Covid-19 and the capacity of government hospitals to cater the growing number of covid-19 patients has been overwhelmed. I think it is time for government of Pakistan to declare emergency in health sector and nationalize (temporarily) to tackle the emergency situation of covid-19 virus spread.

Govt. shall perhaps build new hospitals!

In Lahore they are already using expo. center built by Pervez Musharraf, whom PTI forced to resign as a poor performer.

private hospitals give you luxury of care and time and space

In govt hospital a house officer check from 80 to 150 patients in OPD. In a room where 4 to 6 doctors sitting beside with 6 lines of patients..... Where at a time you have 15 to 20 stays in room... Uneducated batamez awam


Goto any public hospital and you will see every patient comes with 10 family members who all want to get check for BP as its free. And if a doctor refuse they start fighting with famous quote... Hamare tax par pal rahe ho..

PS: my wife worked in DHQ rawalpindi..... And now working in private hospital.

im sure pakistan has a pandemic act which allows government to take control of all private hospitals?

I dont think govt has capability or capacity to do that. Even if they do, they wont be able to run it. Better to make new makeshift hospitals for virus patients.
I think this pandemic can be tackled nicely with an efficient plasma collection and transfusion system.
