Why just the nukes, conventional weapons don't exactly discriminate between Children/Adults, Civilians or Military.......they may not cause environmental catastrophe but they certainly cut down trees and kill livestock.

Perhaps if you put a little thought into it..
Natural disaster's dont come by our choice..
No man sits and wishes for an earthquake on his enemy(well they all sit and wish).. and it happens.
Using a nuke is upto a person or a group of persons..
And taking that decision to take thousands of lives in an instant.. is what matters.

It is Haram to kill any one by burning.

Since nuclear devices basically BURN every thing without discrimination of old age, man / woman

However IF the enemy uses those, then it is a MUST on all Muslims to prepare more than then enemy.

You are unnecessary dragging the issue its is not just for Islam, it is for christianity, hinduism and so on, the same could be asked about use of force, use of weapons regardless of its destructive power against civilian population is it unethical in other religions the answer is clearly Yes.

Using these weapons on population centers is haram in moral sense and as per rules of Islam.

It would be 'morally safe' to use them on enemy strategic and other military targets.

Humans have created them so they are responsible for the consequences not God.
