Majority of bist doab was muslim before partition and my friend told me faisalbadi dialect is doabi because of the muslim refugees that moved there.

Doabi dialect is spoken by the refugees that came from Doaba/Eastern Punjab in 1947, a large number of those whom settled in Faisalabad/Lyallpur. What is your question though?

In Indian Punjab region of Doaba, I think. Pre-partition only Jullundur District was Muslim majority in Doaba.
